A server has access to a map and a list of points of interest with location data by which they may be located on the map. The server establishes a virtual area around a point of interest based on a certain distance or time from the point of interest, a physical or legal parameter, or some combination of those techniques. Users whose devices are located within the virtual area are published to users of the system, and identified distinctly for social networking and communication. Users may also form groups.

Abstract: This invention discloses an improved safety device for microwave oven having one thermostat commonly preventing possible overheat of the cavity and magnetron of the microwave oven. The thermostat is placed in a position suitable for sensing both a peripheral temperature of a magnetron and a temperature of an air exhausted from a heating cavity through an air exhaust port. The thermostat cuts off the outside electric power for the microwave oven when the peripheral temperature of the magnetron or the temperature of the exhaust air coming out of the heating cavity is higher than a predetermined allowable temperature. The air exhaust port is provided about the magnetron. The thermostat mounting bracket is connected to the magnetron mounting bracket.

Abstract: An hydraulic anti-skid braking system for automobiles, comprising a master cylinder, a brake, a flow control valve, a solenoid valve, a piston pump, and an expander cylinder. During a skid condition, the solenoid valve is opened, and a the pump draws fluid from the brake through the solenoid valve and delivers fluid to the flow control valve to shut off a hydraulic connection between the master cylinder and the brake, while reducing fluid pressure to the brake. When pressure is equalized between the brake and the hydraulic line that is connected to the master cylinder, the control valve returns to its initial operation position.

Abstract: Improved automatic gain control for an amplifier is obtained by controlling the size of a null zone in a drive signal for the amplifier. The size of the null zone is controlled by estimating strength of an interference signal, and dynamically varying the size of the null zone based on the estimated strength of the interference signal. As a result, the amplifier rarely saturates, regardless of signal strength. The invention is useful to reduce the harmful effects of jamming or interference.

Abstract: An improved orthopedic device and method for correcting spinal curvatures of a patient by specific stabilization of the patient's pelvis and spine and then exercising the spine through active range of motions. The inventive method of spinal curvature correction re-educates the patient's muscles, ligaments, and nervous system which collectively are responsible for maintaining spinal posture, to properly maintain the spinal column in a desired alignment.

In one embodied form, the unique key holder comprises of a body capable of holding a multitude of keys and a novel strap member that is attached to said body which enables the key holder to be comfortably worn on the belt of the carrier. The unique design of the strap member permits the key holder to be put on and off the belt easily without unbuckling the belt.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved semi-automatic pistol magainze. In one embodied form, the unique pistol magazine member comprises an apparatus on which one end is compatible with a conventional piston magazine receptacle and the other is contoured to wrap snugly around the back of the holder's hand. The inventive magazine thereby provides the holder with the advantages of both greater bullet storage capacity and also greater compactness of bullet storage space. Moreover, the magazine chamber hugs the hand within the inner periphery of its contour thus providing the holder with added support and stability of grip. Also, in its presently preferred form, the magazine has the advantage of a relatively centrally disposed center of gravity which is conducive to greater balance and therefore better aim.

F.
