    Abstract: A cloud computing system is disclosed. The cloud computing system includes a management server that manages a plurality of servers and distributes service resources. Each of the servers corresponds to one of a secure server type and a general server type, and the secure server type of server decrypts an encrypted code provided from a client. Accordingly, a secure server can execute a code requiring security. Especially, by classifying a program code as a general code or a secret code, the general server can also perform the partial function of a program.

The software-based conditional access image download client device includes a download management module, a conditional access image splitter, and a conditional access image restoration unit. The download management module establishes a secure channel for communicating with a download server device over a network, and communicates with the download server device in compliance with a download protocol. The conditional access image splitter splits a conditional access image, received via the download management module, into a plurality of files, generates a plurality of encrypted files by encrypting the plurality of files, and stores the plurality of encrypted files. The conditional access image restoration unit restores the plurality of encrypted files to the conditional access image when the conditional access image is required.

    Abstract: Provided are a receiver with a CA function based on software download, a CA system including the receiver, and a method for managing CA software executed by the receiver. The receiver includes a CA software management means, a download means, a demultiplexer, and a descrambler. The CA software management means performs an overall management operation including the download, execution, state control and termination of a plurality of CA softwares. The download means downloads the CA software from a CA software download server at the request of the CA software management means. The demultiplexer receives scrambled multimedia contents and a CA message and transfers the CA message to the CA software management means. The descrambler receives a descrambling key extracted from the CA message by means of the CA software and descrambles the scrambled multimedia contents with the descrambling key. Thus, a plurality of CA softwares can be operated in one receiver (e.g., a settop box).
