  • Publication number: 20060268184
Abstract: A slim TV includes a monitor panel defining a front portion of the slim TV, a printed circuit board (PCB) mounted on a rear surface of the monitor panel, a rear cover enclosing the printed circuit board, the rear cover having a main body and a flange bent from the rear cover toward the monitor panel, and a tuner mounted on the PCB board to convert an RF signal into an IF signal. The tuner includes a chassis for receiving an electric circuit board, an antenna input terminal projected out of the chassis through a front part of the chassis in a direction perpendicular to the main body of the rear cover, the front part of the chassis being in parallel with the main body of the rear cover, and terminal pins projected out of the chassis in a direction opposite to that in which the antenna input terminal is projected.

  • Publication number: 20060200500
Abstract: A method of efficiently recovering a database that can be applied to a mobile communication terminal employing a flash memory as a storage medium is provided. In the flash memory, a database (DB) storage area and a DB recovery area are separately allocated. Images of pages in the DB storage area that are objects to be changed are sequentially read and stored in a memory buffer, and the original images of the pages before change are assigned sequential serial numbers and backed up in the DB recovery area. Then, the images of the pages in the memory buffer are changed according to a transaction. This series of jobs is performed with respect to all pages that are the objects of change. Then, each page in the DB storage area that is the object of the change is updated with a corresponding changed page in the memory buffer.

  • Publication number: 20060103964
Abstract: A hard disk drive that changes a variable write parameter of a head during a write operation. The controller can change the variable write parameter to compensate for a transient temperature profile of the head during the initial stage of a write operation. By way of example, the controller can provide a relatively large overshoot control signal of a head during the writing of a first sector of a write operation. The value of the overshoot control signal may be decremented for a second sector, a third sector etc., until the head attains a thermal steady state at which point the overshoot control signal is provided with a constant value.

  • Publication number: 20050242595
Abstract: For this invention, it is not only a ring with no normal sealing bolt or nut to open a side of cap but also a round plane cover as a ring with a wide steel in a middle part at both edges to do not weld and to open and to set on the trisections to post under a part and a body as a tongue to stand and to support in an inside of nut for a prop to joint in a time a finger to press as we say a method of one touch with a sealed bolt, round wide steel in middle to open as a ring and nut so call a cover. It is a new type to process ever to try until today to use all bolts and nuts to set a rounded wide steel rounded clip with three wings and in a middle part across both ends of steel plane without any weld to join for a round, and it is not to release until a bolt or nut to break down.

  • Publication number: 20050030660
Abstract: A hard disk drive that contains a self-test for generating data on head spikes. The data is stored on a system track of the drive. The self-test may be firmware embedded into a memory device of the drive. The self-test automatically runs when power is provided to the drive. This allows for a 100% spike detection test for disk drives assembled at a manufacturing facility. The self-test includes writing a test waveform, reading the test waveform and comparing the read waveform with a threshold to determine the existence of spikes. Data on the spikes is then stored on the system track. The data is compared with certain criteria to determine whether the disk drive is defective.
