Abstract: The present invention relates to an anode active material comprising a silicon composite, a preparation method therefor, and a lithium secondary battery comprising same to have excellent lifespan characteristics, output characteristics and safety, the silicon composite comprising: a core formed by coating a first crystalline carbon on the surface of needle-shaped silicon nanoparticles and plate-shaped silicon nanoparticles that differ in aspect ratio; and a shell that surrounds the core and comprises amorphous carbon, in which a second crystalline carbon is positioned on the entire surface of the shell or a part thereof.
