    Abstract: A medical image processing apparatus includes: a data acquisition unit configured to acquire at least one normal medical image and at least one abnormal medical image; and one or more processors configured to perform first processing for generating at least one first medical image by using a neural network and second processing for determining whether the at least one first medical image is a real image, based on the at least one abnormal medical image, wherein the first processing includes generating a virtual lesion image based on a first input and generating the at least one first medical image by synthesizing the virtual lesion image with the at least one normal medical image, and the one or more processors are further configured to train the neural network used in the first processing, based on a result of the second processing.
