  • Publication number: 20120320917
Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for forwarding a multicast packet, which provide scalability of multicast so as to support various multicast patterns in a large-capacity multistage switching system for supporting many input/output ports. The multicast packet forwarding apparatus includes an input line card configured to generate multicast information including a partition identifier (ID) to which at least one output port of a received first packet belongs and a switch multicast ID to be used to determine a position of the output port in the partition, and generate second packets including the multicast information in the same number as the number of partitions, a switch fabric configured to transfer the second packet to at least one output port to which the first packet is output on the basis of the multicast information included in the second packet, and a plurality of output ports grouped into a plurality of partitions.

  • Patent number: 7843973
Abstract: Provided is a method for forming a customized-quality integrated transport network based on synch and asynch frames, and a transport network forming apparatus thereof. The method of the present invention includes: a) synchronizing a transmission bit rate in a network; b) when the transmission bit rate is synchronized in the network and a connection request is received, establishing a connection by determining a route and a start cycle time of the link based on a quality of the connection request and transporting it to nodes of the link; and c) transmitting data to be transported to a link of an adjacent node within the virtual cycle time when the data are synch frames; or when the data are asynch frames and the data are not transmitted within a virtual cycle time of a link to be switched, keeping the data waiting for a next cycle time.

  • Patent number: 7822343
Abstract: The present research relates to s a transmission frame structure supporting a data service and a circuit service of diverse bands in a Synchronous Optical Network (SONET)/Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) network. This research provides a transmission frame structure including a sync period, an async period, and a control period and provides a multiplexing apparatus that can add or extract a fixed length frame in the synch period of the transmission frame and add or extract a variable length frame in the asynch period, and a method for transmitting the transmission frame. The transmission frame structure includes a sync period for transmitting a fixed length frame; an async period for transmitting a variable length frame; and a control period for transmitting a control frame storing information for discriminating between the sync period and the async period. The technology of this research can be applied to a synchronous optical network system.

  • Publication number: 20100046513
Abstract: A system for and a method of providing IPTV service in a next generation network are provided. The system includes a service control unit, a transmission control unit, and an L2 switch unit. A service control unit authenticates a user terminal by receiving a request for providing a service from the user terminal which desires to receive the IPTV service and search for subscription information including the IPTV service for which the user has watching authority, when the user is an IPTV service subscriber. A transmission control unit extracts identification information of the user and a multicast address through which the IPTV service is provided from the subscription information found by the service control unit.

  • Publication number: 20030064895
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel gene for S-adenosyl-L-methionine:jasmonic acid carboxyl methyltransferase, a novel jasmonic acid carboxyl methyltransferase protein synthesized therefrom, and a novel transgenic plant transformed with an expression vector containing said gene. It has been known that said enzyme synthesizes jasmonic acid methyl ester using jasmonic acid and S-adenosyl methionine as the substrate and jasmonic acid methyl ester is a compound mediating the defensive reactions upon invasion of phytopathogenic organisms and harmful insects as well as a compound for regulating the plant growth. By introducing said novel enzyme which is specifically expressed in flowers into the plant body, a transgenic plant which exhibits a resistance against phytopathogens, harmful insects and stresses without causing any adverse effect on the plant growth can be obtained.
