  • Publication number: 20170135424
Abstract: The present invention relates to a glove intermediate membrane having moisture permeability and a waterproof function, gloves using the same, and a manufacturing method therefor. A glove intermediate membrane, which is inserted between an inner liner and an outer shell of a glove, is manufactured in such a manner that a glove shaped first intermediate membrane made of a first material having moisture permeability and a waterproof function and a glove shaped second intermediate membrane made of a second material having a melting point lower than that of the first material to be joined thereto are overlapped with each other, and then an edge portion excluding a wrist portion is thermally bonded. Also, a glove is manufactured in such a manner that an inner liner, the above-described intermediate membrane, and the ouster shell are sequentially put onto a mold and thermally bonded.

  • Patent number: 6012170
Abstract: A glove or mitten, and method of making the same, includes a hand shaped liner disposed inside a shell. The glove or mitten shell includes a palm section having a central portion, at least one finger portion extending from the central portion, a thumb portion extending from the central portion, and a plurality of elastic members attached to the finger portions and thumb portion by a zig-zag shaped stitch to bias the finger/thumb portions toward the central portion. The elastic members help a wearer bend the finger portions of the glove toward the central portion for easier and more comfortable gripping.

  • Patent number: 5568656
Abstract: A method and apparatus for an improved waterproof glove is disclosed. A waterproof membrane and a cloth lining are laminated together to make a glove lining material. Then, front and back hand portions shaped as the front and back of a hand are cut out of the glove lining material. An opening is provided in the front portion for the thumb. A thumb portion is cut out of the glove lining material. An adhesive is silk screened onto the edges of the front and/or back hand portions. The edges of the front hand portion are then high frequency welded to the edges of the back hand portion to form the glove liner. The thumb portion is sewn onto the front hand portion and waterproof sealing tape is applied over the stitches to maintain the waterproof integrity of the glove liner. The glove liner is inserted into an outer glove shell for durability.
