Abstract: A method for sterilizing medical devices, comprising the steps: producing a plurality of hydrogen surface-mixed diffusion flame; exposing the plurality of hydrogen surface-mixed diffusion flame to the medical devices for a predetermined period of time; and exposing the medical devices to the plurality of hydrogen surface-mixed diffusion flame at a predetermined distance; wherein the hydrogen surface mixed diffusion flame further produces free radicals for further sterilizing of the medical devices.

Abstract: A system for using cool hydrogen flame for destruction of VOCs and odorous compounds comprises an existing exhaust system for an industrial process or a factory. The existing exhaust system comprises at least an exhaust duct or a chimney for exhaust gases. The exhaust gases may comprise of odorous compounds such as DMS, MDSO and other VOCs. The system further comprises at least one burner nozzle for generating a configurable hydrogen surface-mixed diffusion flame. The main by-product from this hydrogen flame is water and free radicals. These free radicals produced during hydrogen combustion are extremely reactive and highly oxidative in nature especially hydroxyl radicals. As such, odorous compounds such as VOCs, DMS and DMSO would easily be destroyed by these free radicals produced during hydrogen combustion.

Abstract: A one-touch type foldable tent frame including supporting dies, a tent cloth connected to the supporting dies, and a folding unit provided in the center of upper ends of the supporting dies for folding the supporting dies, the folding unit includes a fixing element connected to the supporting dies, and a supporting element mounted in the fixing element for pulling and spreading the supporting dies and fixing the supporting dies. The supporting element has a body part formed with a holding shoulder detachably mounted to a through hole of the fixing element, and a base element having base struts connected to the supporting dies at a lower end of the body part, wherein the body part and the base element are integrated.

Abstract: A method for processing environmental samples to remove or otherwise reduce the level of certain chemical species. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention contemplates a process for reducing the level of inorganic and/or organic chemical species in wastewater or other aqueous or semi-aqueous environments or other waste environments. The present invention further provides compositions of bacteria useful in modulating the redox potential of an environment to generate redox mediator species which facilitate the removal of particular inorganic or organic molecules from the environment samples. The redox potential is preferably modulated through microbial-mediated oxidation or reduction of metal cations under aerobic or anaerobic conditions, respectively. The present invention is further directed to a computer program which facilitates the controlled modulation of the redox potential of an aqueous or semi-aqueous environment or other environments.

Abstract: Disclosed is a multipurpose storage basket which is capable of unfolding without any separate tool and while not in use, folding in an easy manner, thereby making it easy to be kept and carried in more convenient manner. The storage basket comprises: a skeleton body (11) formed by surrounding a coil spring with a covering cloth; and a cloth (12) sewed on the skeleton body (11) in the unfolded shape of the skeleton body (11), whereby the storage basket takes a substantially cylindrical shape and capable of unfolding or folding by the elasticity of the coil spring without using any separate instrument and folding in an easy manner, thereby making it easy to be kept and carried in more convenient manner. Thus, the storage basket is provided with a cover 20 made of the same gauze material. Accordingly, the storage basket could be folded and fixed in an easy manner while not in use, thereby being kept even in a small area of space.

Abstract: Provided with a tent pole including pipes formed of a fiberglass-reinforced plastic and combined with each other by means of a coupler, the tent pole including: a protective covering having the form of a tube of a soft synthetic resin, for coating the circumferential surface of the pipes; and a finishing portion formed by shrinking both ends of the protective covering by heating to enclose both ends of the pipes, for preventing removal of the protective covering from the pipes.
