    Abstract: A curved frame is provided for securing therein a display panel and an optionally curved backlight unit. The curved frame includes an upper frame part, a lower frame part, a left frame part and a right frame part. The upper frame part has a first set of curved guide rails formed thereon, which guide rails are bent in accordance with first curvatures of upper sides of the display panel and the backlight unit. The lower frame part has a second set of guide rails formed thereon, which guide rails are bent in accordance with second curvatures of lower sides of the display panel and the backlight unit. The left frame part is combined with each of first edge portions of the upper and lower frame parts. The right frame part is combined with each of second edge portions of the upper and lower frame parts.

    Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a light-emitting diode (LED) module and a bottom chassis. The LED module includes an LED package in which at least one LED chip is mounted, and first and second wire sockets respectively making contact with lead frames formed at two sides of the LED package. The bottom chassis has a coupling hole formed through a bottom portion for receiving a coupling hook of the LED module. Thus, a wire socket is configured to make contact with a lead frame formed at a side portion of an LED package and power is received through a wire inserted through the wire socket, so that an additional printed circuit board (PCB) or an additional flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) for providing the LED package with power may be omitted.

A backlight driving circuit controls the boosting circuit in response to a dimming signal and compensates a plurality of feedback voltages from the backlight unit to output a panel driving voltage. A panel driving circuit receives the panel driving voltage from the backlight driving circuit to output a data voltage corresponding to an image signal and receives a gate driving voltage to generate a gate voltage. A display panel displays an image in response to the gate voltage and the data voltage. Accordingly, a number of the boosting circuits for the display apparatus may decrease, thereby reducing a manufacturing cost of the display apparatus.
