  • Publication number: 20020195967
Abstract: An electro-luminescence panel that is capable of improving picture quality. In the panel, first and second switches apply signals on data lines to capacitors in response to gate signals supplied via gate lines. The first and second switches have threshold voltages set to be different from each other. Accordingly, it becomes possible to prevent a kick-back phenomenon and minimize a leakage current, thereby improving picture quality.

  • Publication number: 20020196214
Abstract: A driving circuit for an active matrix organic light emitting diode includes a gamma voltage generation unit for generating differentiated gamma reference voltages corresponding to red, green, and blue colors and a driving unit for outputting a video data signal of a frame, by receiving the respective gamma reference voltages corresponding to red, green and blue colors generated in the gamma voltage generation unit and the power voltages corresponding to red, green and blue colors from the power supply unit. The driving circuit for the active matrix organic LED generates the video signal applied to the pixel for displaying the respective RGB colors, using the power voltages and gamma reference voltages which are independent according to the respective RGB colors and accordingly the pixel can be driven exactly as described using organic substances having different RGB characteristics, thus to improve the quality of the image.

  • Publication number: 20020101177
Abstract: An electro-luminescence panel that is capable of improving brightness. In the panel, a single of compensation circuit is configured for a single of gate lines. Accordingly, the panel can considerably improve an aperture ratio in comparison to the existent electro-luminescence panel adopting a compensation circuit for each pixel. Also, it can improve a throughput and eliminate a stripe occurring at the pixel cell.

  • Publication number: 20020075208
Abstract: A driving circuit for an active matrix electroluminescence device (AMELD) can control an output current value according to R/G/B channels by receiving a digital signal of n bits. In the driving circuit of the AMELD having data and gate drivers that respectively transmit a data signal and a scan signal to each pixel region, the data driver includes a latch for latching a control signal temporarily stored, and a plurality of digital to analog converters (DAC) for outputting a reference current of a certain level as a data signal according to R/G/B channels is latched by the control signal.
