  • Publication number: 20100228758
Abstract: A Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) system and method of providing content therein are provided. A legacy media player displays a content list for content stored in the legacy media player or in an add-in server, and when a content item is selected from the list, the legacy media player determines whether the content item is reproducible by a registered digital media renderer. If the selected content item is reproducible by the registered digital media renderer, the legacy media player transmits a reproducing request for the selected content item, and the corresponding digital media renderer receives and reproduces the selected content.

  • Patent number: 7698467
Abstract: A Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) system and method transform multimedia contents in a manner adaptive to the available data processing capability of the digital media renderer (DMR) of the DLNA network. A digital media server (DMS) and a digital media renderer (DMR) are discovered. A list of contents provided by the DMS is obtained. Information on a transport protocol and a data format of the DMR is obtained. Information on available data processing capability of the DMR is obtained. The transport protocol and the data format of the DMS are matched to those of the DMR. Transcoding and transrating schemes of the DMS are adjusted based on the available data processing capability of the DMR. A connection between the DMS and the DMR is established, and content stored in the DMS is transmitted to the DMR.

  • Publication number: 20090204362
Abstract: Disclosed are a system and a method for an indoor location determination using a matrix pencil. The system comprises a transmitter node that creates and transmits a transmission packet having a plurality of same symbols. A receiver node receives the transmission packet, calculates a delay time by using the symbols in the transmission packet and a matrix pencil algorithm, and calculates a distance between the transmitter node and the receiver node by using the delay time. The delay time estimation using the matrix pencil can reduce an error ratio and therefore can estimate more exactly the distance between the nodes.

  • Publication number: 20070237115
Abstract: A method for sharing content using a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) network is disclosed. The method includes the steps of creating a DLNA VPN (Virtual Private Network) between an inside-home DLNA network and at least one outside-home DLNA device, and delivering content from an inside-home DLNA device connected to the inside-home DLNA network to an outside-home DLNA device contained in the DLNA VPN in response to a request for content from the outside-home DLNA device. The method further allows continuous sharing of content, even if IP addresses of devices connected to the DLNA VPN are changed, by managing dynamic IP addresses of the devices connected to the DLNA VPN using an external network management server. Thus, the method allows outside-home DLNA devices to freely share content using a DLNA network. The method also allows various contents to be processed on a mobile terminal regardless of a storage space and processing capability of the mobile terminal.
