  • Patent number: 10203814
Abstract: A sensor arrangement for an electronic device with user input means comprises a sensor. The sensor is adapted to generate an electric field in an area of the user input means and to enable a detection of a change in the electric field. The sensor arrangement further comprises a conductive web. The conductive web is arranged between the sensor and an external surface of the user input means, in order to concentrate the volume of the generated electrical field.

  • Patent number: 7976230
Abstract: In one example, an actuator mechanism comprising: one or more coils for establishing a magnetic field; a rotating permanent magnet, which has at least one extreme position depending on the magnetic field; and driving members, which are coupled to the permanent magnet and by means of which the members coupled to the actuator mechanism are driven. In another example, an actuator mechanism comprising: one or more wires, which are manufactured of a shape memory alloy that shrinks when heated; and driving members, which are coupled to said wire and by means of which the members connected to the actuator mechanism are driven.

  • Publication number: 20080150458
Abstract: The invention relates to an adjustable brake device that can be used in conjunction with a hinge mechanism of a folding electronic device, e.g. a clamshell mobile phone. The adjustable brake device comprises a brake actuator that is able to generate a braking force responsive to a magnetic flux directed to the brake actuator and a magnetic circuit that has a magnetizing device arranged to generate the magnetic flux and a magnetic path arranged to conduct the magnetic flux from the magnetizing device to the brake actuator. At least two elements of the magnetic circuit are movable with respect to each other. A mutual position of the at least two elements can be used for determining strength of the magnetic flux directed to the brake actuator. The braking force can be adjusted in a relatively simple way by adjusting the mutual position of the movable parts of the magnetic circuit.
