The aerosol medium, including glycerin and a thickener, is maintained in a semi-solid or solid state in a first temperature range including room temperature and is in a liquefied state in a second temperature range higher than the first temperature range. The glycerin vaporizes in a third temperature range higher than the second temperature range to generate an aerosol.
