  • Publication number: 20160122213
Abstract: Methods of controlling a nitrification reaction in a biological nitrogen removal reactor to favor partial nitrification of ammonia to nitrite instead of complete oxidation of ammonia to nitrate are disclosed. In some embodiments, the methods include the following: maintaining a pH in the reactor within a range that promotes growth of ammonia oxidizing bacteria; maintaining a concentration of dissolved oxygen in the reactor within a range that limits the ammonia oxidizing bacteria from completing nitrification; selecting an operational solids retention time within a range suitable for maintaining increasing concentrations of the ammonia oxidizing bacteria in the reactor while reducing concentrations of nitrite oxidizing bacteria in the reactor; and increasing a concentration of free ammonia in the reactor thereby inhibiting growth of the nitrite oxidizing bacteria in the reactor.

  • Publication number: 20130050076
Abstract: Provided is a method of recognizing a control command from a finger movement detected from an image capturing apparatus of a mobile device, involving: capturing an image of a finger, determining a contour of the finger from the captured image, determining coordinates of a pointer that corresponds to a region of the finger based on the contour, and recognizing a control command based on a movement direction of the finger, a length of time for which the pointer is positioned on an object, or a change in the contour of the finger.

  • Publication number: 20010007625
Abstract: A yoke unit connects two shaft arranged at a predetermined angle. The yoke unit has a pair of yoke portions receiving an input shaft, a clamp for clamping the input shaft, a bush disposed around the clamp, and an insert inserted into a space between the yoke portions and coupled to the bush. When the shaft is received in the yoke portions, the bush is inserted into through holes of the yoke portions such that the bush is positioned on a recess of the input shaft. The clamp passes through the bush and is screwed to any one of through holes of the yoke portions. The bush prevents the input shaft from moving an axial direction. The insert prevents the yoke portions from deforming when the clamp is fastened and when an external impact is applied to the yoke portions. A friction between the yoke unit and the input shaft can be reduced by the bush and the abrasion of the bolt and the shaft can be reduced.
