    Abstract: A method of driving a plasma display panel (PDP) is provided. In the method, the number of sustain pulses to be applied during a sustain period for each subfield in a frame is calculated. In order to achieve better image quality, fractional parts of the number of calculated sustain pulses is not disregarded but used by adding this fractional part to the appropriate count for a comparable subfield in a subsequent frame. By including this calculated fractional part in the calculations, a better image quality can be realized where there is less distortion.
