  • Patent number: 10118629
Abstract: High speed rail transportation systems are provided for improving transportation costs, speed and convenience for passengers, owners and operators. The high speed rail transportation system may include a high speed propulsion segment assembly, a segment of rails and a load station for transporting vehicles independent from each other and at high speed. In an embodiment, the high speed propulsion segment assembly may include a propulsion cylinder, a free cylinder and a cable assembly movably connected to the propulsion cylinder and the free cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4315372
Abstract: A constant pressure caliper commonly used to measure the thickness of skin folds and wherein the caliper arms are separated by the actuation of a slide mechanism and are urged together by a constant force spring acting through a linkage that applies a constant force to the caliper arms regardless of the distance the arms are opened. The caliper arms are pivotally connected in a housing such that the lever arm of the force for closing the arms and the lever arm through which the constant tension spring is acting vary proportionally to maintain the closing force constant as the arms are separated different distances.

  • Patent number: 4204618
Abstract: A dispenser for a roll of strip comprising an open top casing. A cover is pivotally mounted on the casing for closing the top thereof. Disposed within the casing is a roll of strip having transverse slits formed therein at predetermined distances along the strip. The free end of the strip to be removed from the roll of strip exits from an opening located between the casing and the cover. Extending from the casing are transversely spaced tracks that project outwardly and downwardly from the casing, and over which advances the free end of the roll of strip. Extending from the cover are outwardly and downwardly transversely spaced guides, which overlie, respectively, the transverse tracks to form passages therebetween. The free end of the strip travels through these passages. The tracks and guides are correspondingly curved to bow the free end of the roll of strip at the transverse slit advancing through the passages to open the slit.

  • Patent number: 4071152
Abstract: A lift for use in a public conveyance such as a bus, train, et cetera, such that a wheelchair can be rolled onto the lift platform at ground level and be transported into the vehicle. The lift platform moves vertically in a well in the vehicle to the passenger level and then rotates into the bus as the doors are closed. Exit from the vehicle is accomplished in the reverse manner.
