  • Patent number: 11975614
Abstract: Informed towing is provided. Towing information is identified, by a towing vehicle, with respect to a towed vehicle to be towed by the towing vehicle. A towed configuration of the towed vehicle is monitored. Responsive to the towed configuration of the towed vehicle being incorrect according to the towing information, a warning is displayed in the HMI indicating the incorrect towing configuration.

  • Patent number: 11976078
Abstract: A new class of ordered functional nanoporous material (OFNMs) with a unique combination of electronic conductivity, gas transport ability, and ion transport properties are provided. The OFNM provided is highly ordered and contains nanometer scale pores lined with nitrogen atoms. The pores have dimensions of from 1.2 nm to 82 nm of longest linear extent across the pore. The functionality within the pore is controlled through selection of groups that extend into the pore. The degree of conjugated aromaticity is readily controlled to adjust the electrical conductivity properties of the resulting structure. By adjusting the groups external to the pore, three-dimensional structures are formed that are organic mimics of zeolites, metal organic frameworks (MOF), or perovskites.

  • Publication number: 20240112147
Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods related to providing assistance services to a disabled vehicle. In an example embodiment, a method executed by a first processor in a vehicle may involve detecting an event that places the vehicle in a disabled condition; transmitting information associated with the event to a second processor; and detecting an arrival of a assistance vehicle that is dispatched by the second processor based on an automated evaluation of the information associated with the event. The second processor, which can be, for example, a part of a server computer, may evaluate the information in order to identify an assistance vehicle having equipment for providing the assistance service. In an example scenario, the disabled vehicle and/or the assistance vehicle can be an autonomous vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240104469
Abstract: A system provides integrated evaluations within executed workflow interactions. The system receives a query from a user device during an interaction between the user device and an agent device. The system determines a query intent, and based on a determination that a workflow is available in a database, executes the workflow. The system integrates an evaluation with in the workflow by transmitting a request for an input to the user device. The system displays rating options associated with the input in an interaction window. The system receives a rating selection based on one of the rating options and executes a response action corresponding to the rating selection.

  • Publication number: 20240104925
Abstract: Use of a satellite network as a source of image data for detection of off-road obstacles is provided. Image data from a satellite network is received to an OBU of a vehicle via a transceiver of the vehicle. The image data is related to an off-road location to be traversed by the vehicle. A navigation map indicating locations of any obstacles detected as being present based on an analysis of changes in the image data over time is displayed in an HMI of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240070641
Abstract: Systems and methods for P2P transaction functionality include payment collection from a third party source. A system includes at least one processor and a storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the at least one processor to perform operations including receiving transaction information from a vendor where a card was used and analyzing the transaction information. The operations also include sending one or more requests for repayment to one or more P2P service systems, receiving repayment information, regarding one or more repayments, from the one or more P2P service systems and, based on the repayment information, applying the one or more repayments to the transaction performed on the card.

  • Patent number: 10972043
Abstract: A Silver Lining solar transfer module incorporates roof solar photovoltaic cells in a cased layer sandwiched between two water-handling layers. The bottom waste heat layer contains heat transfer pipes tuned for absorbing heat from the bottom of the photovoltaic layer and to dissipate heat into cool water pumped through the transfer pipes from ground level. The top cascade layer uses a casing transparent to solar radiation at the wavelengths used by the solar photovoltaic cells and containing a cascade of relatively cool water pumped from ground level, absorbing heat from the photovoltaic layer. The Silver Lining module is installed with a vertical slant, so that water is gravity fed from the top edge to the bottom edge in the waste heat layer and cascade layer. Fire sprinklers are incorporated into the plumbing of a system of Silver Lining solar transfer modules and provide protection to the roof in fire emergencies.

  • Patent number: 10458088
Abstract: A Smart Caisson incorporates an expandable balloon-like body at depth under the base of a vertical piling or foundation member. The self-expanding balloon footing counteracts soil erosion by expanding to fill areas of soil recession. A pipe or through-hole in the vertical piling admits surface rainwater into the balloon footing at the same time the rainwater is contributing to sub-surface erosion. Users can actively pump water downward through the piling through-hole to fill the balloon footing during times of low rainfall or following short-duration erosion events, such as earthquakes. The through-holes are designed to capably admit cement, concrete and other fill materials without clogging or corroding. A metal mesh surrounding the balloon footing expands with the balloon, providing structure and a matrix to trap and hold shifted sub-surface earthen material and concrete previously pumped into the balloon footing. An array of sensors warns the user of sub-surface soil conditions.
