Abstract: A flow through assembly includes an anchoring device to secure a downhole assembly to a casing in a wellbore, the anchoring device includes a center flow channel; an upper perforated tube attached to the anchoring device, the upper perforated tube includes upper perforations and an upper flow channel fluidly connected to the center flow channel; and a lower perforated tube attached to the anchoring device, the lower perforated tube includes lower perforations and a lower flow channel, wherein gas can flow through the lower perforations to enter the lower flow channel of the lower perforated tube, through the lower flow channel, through the center flow channel, then exit through the upper perforations of the upper flow channel.

A flow through assembly is disclosed wherein separated gas may pass an anchoring device with less restriction. The improved flow through assembly allows for separated gas to pass through the center flow channel of an anchoring device.

Abstract: This application discloses an improved downhole assembly for separating oil and gas in an oil well. The downhole assembly includes an improved agitation device for causing centrifugal force and shear stress on oil and wellbore liquid with entrained gas such that the gas is released and allowed to flow upwards towards the ground surface. The improved agitation device includes the use of a standard helix and a reverse helix.
