  • Publication number: 20240132054
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to prevent trailer sway are disclosed. An example apparatus to prevent trailer sway of a trailer coupled to a vehicle includes prediction circuitry to predict, based on sensor data from one or more sensors of the vehicle, whether a trailer sway condition associated with the vehicle is likely to occur, and control activation circuitry to, in response to the prediction that the trailer sway is likely to occur, activate at least one vehicle control of the vehicle to prevent the trailer sway condition from occurring, the at least one vehicle control to include applying torque to at least one of one or more trailer wheels of the trailer or one or more vehicle wheels of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240112147
Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods related to providing assistance services to a disabled vehicle. In an example embodiment, a method executed by a first processor in a vehicle may involve detecting an event that places the vehicle in a disabled condition; transmitting information associated with the event to a second processor; and detecting an arrival of a assistance vehicle that is dispatched by the second processor based on an automated evaluation of the information associated with the event. The second processor, which can be, for example, a part of a server computer, may evaluate the information in order to identify an assistance vehicle having equipment for providing the assistance service. In an example scenario, the disabled vehicle and/or the assistance vehicle can be an autonomous vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220379095
Abstract: A needle assembly of a catheter system may include one or more features to facilitate flashback confirmation of catheterization while also preventing buildup of positive pressure within a flashback chamber of the needle assembly. The needle assembly may include a plug, which may include an aperture for receiving an introducer needle. A proximal opening of the introducer needle may be accessible from the proximal end of the needle hub. The plug may include a vent between an outer surface of the plug and an inner surface of the needle hub to prevent the buildup of positive pressure. The plug may include an extended distal end that reduces a volume of the flashback chamber. The plug may include a window in fluid communication with a notch of the introducer needle. Blood may flow from the notch into the flashback chamber with a reduced volume via the window of the plug.

  • Publication number: 20060149189
Abstract: A power injection catheter for high flow rate delivery of fluids. The power injection catheter may include a pressure relief mechanism for preventing overpressurizing within the lumen of the catheter. The pressure relief mechanism may be configured to prevent sudden pressure build-up inside the catheter lumen by absorbing, buffering or releasing pressure inside the lumen during pressure spikes. The power injection catheter may also take the form of a multi-lumen catheter capable of simultaneous infusions of a single fluid through two or more of the lumens in the catheter.

  • Publication number: 20060149214
Abstract: Power injection catheters for high flow rate delivery of fluids are disclosed. In one embodiment, a catheter may include a body defining one lumen and a plurality of extension tubes each comprising a lumen in fluid communication with the one lumen of the catheter body. Further, an extension tube may be configured for performing power injection and an extension tube may include a proximal valve. In another embodiment, a catheter may comprise a plurality of lumens and extension tubes, each of the extension tubes comprising a lumen in fluid communication with one lumen of the catheter body, respectively. At least one extension tube may be configured for performing power injection and at least one extension tube may include a proximal valve. Such catheters may include a pressure relief mechanism for preventing overpressurizing of the catheter. A method of injecting a fluid into a patient's body is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050209583
Abstract: A catheter connector system for a subcutaneously placed catheter. The catheter connector system permits proximal trimming of the placed catheter, which is a procedure that provides numerous advantages over traditional methods of trimming catheter distal ends prior to implantation. The catheter connector system can be configured for a single lumen catheter or a multiple lumen catheter. The catheter connector system facilitates precise positioning of both distal and proximal ends of a catheter, providing enhanced function ability and patient comfort.
