Abstract: Methods of selectively permitting the capture of information is disclosed. The methods include determining if a device capable of capturing information has entered a predetermined geographically defined zone, the zone having at least one configurable criterion; determining a parameter of the device; and selectively permitting, if the parameter of the device satisfies the at least one configurable criterion, an ability of the information capturing device to capture information when in the predetermined geographically defined zone. Devices implementing such methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A downhole vibration tool has an outer housing having an inner surface that defines an inner bore and a flow diverter positioned within the inner bore, the flow diverter having an inner passage and an outer surface that defines a flow path between the inner surface of the outer housing and the flow diverter. A removable plug blocks the inner passage, the plug being removable to open the inner passage. A rotating member is rotatably carried within the outer housing and downstream of the flow diverter, the rotating member comprising a rotor in fluid communication with the flow path and an eccentric mass.

Abstract: A signal processing system which discriminates between voice signals and data signals modulated by a voiceband carrier. The signal processing system includes a voice exchange, a data exchange and a call discriminator. The voice exchange is capable of exchanging voice signals between a circuit switched network and a packet based network. The signal processing system also includes a data exchange capable of exchanging data signals modulated by a voiceband carrier on the circuit switched network with unmodulated data signal packets on the packet based network. The data exchange is performed by demodulating data signals from the circuit switched network for transmission on the packet based network, and re-modulating data signal packets from the packet based network for transmission on the circuit switched network. The call discriminator is used to selectively enable the voice exchange and data exchange.

Abstract: A surface polishing composition is provided that includes a polyhydric alcohol, and a base present to give the composition a pH of between 9 and 12, an oil, an abrasive, and the majority component of the composition being water. The composition is particularly effective at removing water spots from a surface without resort to acid that can damage the finish on the surface or induce corrosion in the substrate beneath the surface. A polishing composition is provided in a kit form with an applicator along with instructions for the respective use of the composition and applicator to remove water spots from the surface. A clay bar is particularly well suited as an applicator. A process provided for removing water spots from a surface that includes applying to the surface the composition and then simultaneously contacting the composition with the substrate and the applicator.

Abstract: A downhole valve for insertion in a production tubing string permits recirculation of fluid pumped into the casing annulus. The valve includes a cylindrical housing defining an opening, an internal mandrel disposed within the housing, defining a central bore and defining an opening, a valve between the housing and the mandrel, wherein said valve opens to allow fluid communication from the mandrel central bore to the annulus space in response to a pressure differential between the mandrel central bore and the annular space, and biasing means for biasing the valve in a closed position. The valve may be set within a completion string by wireline techniques.

Abstract: An intermittent lift plunger includes at least one seal mandrel, a bottom sub and an upper valve assembly. The valve assembly is closed by a well bottom stop which inserts into the lift plunger and opened by a lubricator stop at the top of the well. The seal mandrel includes a sleeve seal formed from an elastomeric rubber or plastic, which inflates to engage the well bore surface when the valve is closed and a pressure differential exists.
