Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of detecting and/or diagnosing brain cancer in a subject based upon expression levels of microRNA. The present invention also provides methods of monitoring tumour burden and/or determining tumour regression in a subject suffering from brain cancer and monitoring progression of brain cancer in a subject.

Abstract: Use of decellularized plant tissues as scaffolds for producing edible animal tissue are disclosed herein. Particularly, decellularized plant tissues are used as scaffolds for animal cells to allow growth and differentiation it animal tissue. The edible animal tissue can be dried such as in a beef jerky form for human consumption.

Abstract: An in vitro meat having non-decellularized leaf scaffold and a method for producing an in vitro meat using non-decellularized leaf scaffold are described herein. The method includes preparing a non-decellularized plant leaf and incubating the leaf in a cell culture media to obtain a non-decellularized leaf scaffold; seeding the leaf scaffold with a population of muscle cells to obtain a leaf scaffold adhered population of muscle cells; and growing the leaf scaffold adhered population of muscle cells in cell culture media thereby obtaining the in vitro meat.
