  • Publication number: 20230002070
Abstract: A system for aiding formation flying of a follower aircraft with respect to a wake vortex from a leader aircraft comprises a controller and at least one accelerometer installed on the follower aircraft. The controller receives acceleration measurements performed by the at least one accelerometer and processes the measurements to obtain a value representative of vibrations generated by the wake vortex from the leader aircraft. The controller compares the value with at least one predetermined threshold representative of excessive vibrations with regard to location of the at least one accelerometer on the follower aircraft. One or more notifications, such as alerts, are generated based on the result of the comparison. It is easier to position the follower aircraft in formation flying to benefit from a rising airflow phenomenon brought about by the wake vortex from the leader aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20220230650
Abstract: Noise reduction in a robot system includes the use of a gesture library that pairs noise profiles with gestures that can be performed by the robot. A gesture to be performed by the robot is obtained, and the robot performs the gesture. The robot's performance of the gesture creates noise, and when a user speaks to the robot while the robot performs a gesture, incoming audio includes both user audio and robot noise. A noise profile associated with the gesture is retrieved from the gesture library and is applied to remove the robot noise from the incoming audio.

  • Publication number: 20220073331
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for operating a jack are described herein. A connector for a jack has an elongated member that extends along a longitudinal axis from a first end to a second end. The elongated member has a driver connection portion at the first end to engage with a driver and a jack connection portion at the second end to engage with the jack. The driver and jack connection portions can each be openings that extend along the longitudinal axis from the first end to the second end to form a channel. The elongated member has a first pair of openings in a wall of the elongated member, the first pair of openings each along a first transverse axis and dimensioned to receive a first projection for securing the connector to the jack. In some embodiments, the elongated member has a second pair of openings in the wall.

  • Patent number: 10858569
Abstract: Liners may be cemented in a well bore contaminated with an oil-based or synthetic fluid by injecting an aqueous cleaning fluid into the well, energizing the cleaning fluid to displace fluids present in an annulus between the liner and the bore and to create turbulent flow of the cleaning fluid in the annulus, and injecting a cementitious slurry into the annulus after the cleaning fluid. The cleaning fluid comprises a weighting agent, a suspending agent, a surfactant, and nut shell particulates. The turbulent flow of the cleaning fluid through the annulus is effective to remove oily residues left by the oil-based or synthetic fluid.
