  • Publication number: 20240127367
Abstract: A crop prediction system performs various machine learning operations to predict crop production and to identify a set of farming operations that, if performed, optimize crop production. The crop prediction system uses crop prediction models trained using various machine learning operations based on geographic and agronomic information. Responsive to receiving a request from a grower, the crop prediction system can access information representation of a portion of land corresponding to the request, such as the location of the land and corresponding weather conditions and soil composition. The crop prediction system applies one or more crop prediction models to the access information to predict a crop production and identify an optimized set of farming operations for the grower to perform.

  • Patent number: 9168455
Abstract: A game system uses play-pieces, such as figurines, cards, and maps, each having multiple, machine-readable indicia. A hand-held reader for the indicia communicates with a computer, such as a tablet or smart phone. Players select which indicia to read with the reader, thereby identifying specific figurines, locations, commands, and the like by direct reference to the play-pieces themselves. Certain parameters associated with specific play-pieces are stored in a database of the computer, and may change over time, whether from progress in the game, or from updates made available online.

  • Publication number: 20060055110
Abstract: A game includes a game capsule has dual purpose for providing a game status tracking element, and providing packaging and storage for a figure and other elements associated with the game. A figure structure including the figure associated with the game, which is attached to a substantially round base with a pointer, may be attached to an upper hemispherical component of the game capsule. A matching attachment structure between the base and the upper component may be employed such as an indexed plug and recess. Stickers placed in recessed areas on the outer surface of the upper component may provide instructions, statistics, and the like. A position of the figure structure may determine the sticker to be employed in selecting movements, and the like at each game level. The lower or upper components may provide a measuring element for a player's movement in the game.

  • Publication number: 20050073098
Abstract: A method and an apparatus by which rules and record keeping in games employing miniature figures as game pieces are incorporated onto the base of the miniature figures themselves. Counters or wheels keep track of a character's characteristics and how they change as a game progresses. Values can be customized for each character by providing differently numbered wheels for the bases. Also, a method for providing collectable game pieces with varied features by providing them to the consumer concealed in packaging.

  • Publication number: 20050017450
Abstract: A game piece and method of game playing is disclosed wherein individual game pieces include a multi-piece base with scoring indicia printed on a top portion. The top is rotatable with respect to a bottom portion. A slotted aperture in the top reveals data that varies as the top portion is rotated with respect to the bottom. The variable numbers indicate capability characteristics of the particular game piece. In addition, the base includes slots for the addition of items that enhance the capabilities of the individual game piece. A plurality of additional items fit in the slots with each additional item affecting the numeric values of that character. The items may be dropped or picked up during the game thus permitting customization of each game piece as well as the ability to dynamically alter the characteristics of each game piece.
