    Abstract: Wound healing is a process by which these wounds on the skin of a subject heal and eventually close. When the injured surface is large, becomes infected, or in patients with poor healing capacity such as diabetics or the elderly or bedridden patients, then wound healing can be prolonged and lead to chronic ulceration and further complications with even limb loss or increased morbidity and mortality. This invention is directed to a topical formulation for promoting wound healing, and wound dressings and bandages comprising the same.
