Abstract: According to an example, a method to wind media in an output roller downstream a media advance engine comprises advancing a medium for a determined medium length, collecting a first portion of the determined medium length at a first speed by rotating the output roller in a winding direction, and collecting a second portion of the determined medium length by rotating the output roller in a winding direction at a second speed, wherein the first speed is greater than the second speed.

Abstract: A luminescent compound forms a layer in a gel candle whereby the luminescent layer glows in the dark when the candle is not lighted. A method for making a candle having a luminescent layer comprises the steps of dispersing a luminescent powder into a heated gel, allowing the gel to solidify, pouring a second, hydrocarbon heated gel over the first, inserting a wick, and allowing the article to cool.

Abstract: This terminal comprises a tubular portion (25) on which are coaxially arranged a fixing body (20) attached to the tubular portion (25) designed to receive a stem (12) fixed to one end (10) of steel cable (2) of a control cable (1), a fixing spring (21) and a closure body (19) which, driven by the spring (21), has rotation capacity between two positions, opening position and fixing position. The fixing body (20) and the stem (12) have respective screw-threaded retaining sections (47, 16), and the terminal (17) has a trigger (48) with capacity for sliding between two positions, an opening position and a locking position. Abstract: The invention relates to a work support device in the form of a vice for rigidly supporting a work piece and enabling adjustment of the position of the workpiece to any desired angular position. The vice includes a pair of conventional vice jaws or a jig for holding the workpiece. The jaws or jig are mounted for rotational movement about a first axis when released from a locked position and also for tilting movement through 90.degree. with respect to the first axis. This movement is achieved by mounting the jaws or jig on a ball of a ball and socket arrangement wherein the socket is slotted to enable said tilting movement. The socket arrangement is mounted for rotation, when released from a locked position, in a plane normal to the plane of rotation of the jaws or jig. Thus by a combination of rotational movement of the jaws or jig and the socket arrangement as well as tilting movement of the jaws or jig the workpiece may be disposed in any angular orientation and locked in said position.
