  • Patent number: 10686599
Abstract: The method comprising: a) receiving, by an encoding module computer device (103), from a user (100), a message (101) including a content to be encoded; b) generating, by the encoding module (103), a generated encoding (104) of the content of the provided message (101) using encoding information (112); c) sending, by the encoding module computer device (103), the generated encoding (104) to a reception module computer device (106) and verifying, by the reception module computer device (106), that the generated encoding (104) corresponds to the encoding of the content of the message (101) by using a generated verification information (105) and public information (107), wherein the at least one code (102) having a cryptographic relationship with the public information (107) and the message (101), and the public information (107) and the message (101) having a cryptographic or a public relationship.

  • Patent number: 10445964
Abstract: Secure and auditable consolidation of results of an electoral process, in which local electoral authorities participate to validate local electoral results by generating a validation proof, which is communicated to a consolidation module that verifies that the validation proof has been generated by the appropriate electoral authorities and then generates a receiving proof, which contains the result of the validation, which could be the acceptance or non-acceptance of the validation proof. The receiving proof is finally sent to the electoral authorities. There are different ways of generating the validation and receiving proofs so as to be able to robustly verify the identity of the local electoral authorities who have participated in the validation of the electoral results and to verify if the validated local electoral results are the same that are going to be consolidated and to preserve integrity of the official records of the local electoral results.

  • Patent number: 9077540
Abstract: The present invention describes a verification method which allows to ensure that the decryption process has been done honestly by the entity in charge of that. The method described in this invention is characterized by basing the verification of the correctness of the decryption of a set of encrypted messages in a proof demonstrating that the result of the operation with an operator ? of blocks of encrypted messages is equal to the encryption of the result of operating with the operator ? blocks composed by the same messages, decrypted. In order to do that, a first input integrity proof is generated for each block of encrypted messages based on the operation ? of the encrypted messages, and the link with the output integrity proofs generated with the operation ? of the decrypted messages composing each block is verified.

  • Patent number: 8316454
Abstract: The present invention describes a method and system for protecting the integrity and authorship of a piece of registration information of the user, applicable in voter information registration, by means of biometric techniques. To that end, after a first stage of entering a piece of registration information, a second stage of protecting the integrity of the registration information is implemented. In this second stage, an item of integrity proof of said information is generated and said item of integrity proof is displayed to the user who wishes to protect it. In a third stage of generating an item of non-repudiation proof of the registration information, an item of biometric proof of the user which contains the item of integrity proof displayed is obtained, an item of non-repudiation proof is constructed from said item of biometric proof, and finally the item of non-repudiation proof is stored.

  • Publication number: 20120261470
Abstract: The method uses a computer voting selection application suitable for execution in a remote environment by a remote user for obtaining in a local site a marked ballot from the voting selections made by the remote user. It includes generating using a remote voting computer an element representing in a machine readable format an information of the voting selections made by the remote user, recording this machine readable element in a first physical support, and sending this first physical support through a physical delivery channel to the local site where the machine readable element from the physical support is read using a reading device, and the voting selections made by the remote user are retrieved using a retrieving computer. A record representing the remote user voting selections retrieved is then obtained and processed by an electronic counting device that counts voting selections from images obtained from the obtained record.

  • Publication number: 20120217299
Abstract: The method includes using a voting computer to represent the user selected voting options gathered by a voting application running in the voting computer, using an element that has a machine readable format such as a barcode, recording then the element in a physical media using a printing device connected to the voting computer, so that it is suitable to be delivered by the user using a physical channel such as a postal service to the electoral officers. Once the delivered physical media is received by the intended destination (e.g., election officials), the method introduces the step of reading the element information contained in the physical media using a reading device connected to a retrieving computer. Finally, the method introduces a process for generating a physical ballot in the retrieving computer using the information delivered by the voter and a printing device.

  • Publication number: 20120016723
Abstract: A method and system for the secure and auditable consolidation of the results of an electoral process, in which local electoral authorities (101) participate to validate, by generating a validation test (106), local electoral results. This validation test is communicated to a consolidation module (103), which will verify that the validation test (106) has been generated by the appropriate electoral authorities. It will then generate a receiving test (107), which will contain the result of the validation, which could be the acceptance or non-acceptance of the validation test. The receiving test (107) is finally sent to the electoral authorities for information of the validation.

  • Publication number: 20090144135
Abstract: The inventive method is characterised in that, following a voting option selection step (201), a verification module (102), which is associated with a voting terminal (101), is used to perform the following steps: reception (202) of digital data relating to the voting options selected by a voter (103) at the voting terminal (101); verification (203) of the options selected by the voter (103), which are in some way encoded in the data received during the preceding step; confirmation (204) by the voter (103) of the voting options presented during the previous step; and, upon acceptance of said voting options by the voter (103), generation of a digital record to protect the integrity of the digital data received during the above-mentioned data-reception step.
