Abstract: A wheel cleaning system includes a bottom, two sidewalls, and multiple gates. The bottom includes: a channel extending in a downstream direction and receives a wheel; an entry ramp disposed at an upstream end of the channel; and an exit ramp disposed at a downstream end of the channel. The sidewalls are disposed on opposite sides of the bottom, each sidewall extending up from the bottom. The gates are disposed in an alternating fashion on opposite sidewalls along the channel with a separation sufficient to avoid interference between gates and configured to rotate over the channel. Each gate includes: a cleaning pad holder; a cleaning pad that fastens to the holder; an attachment plate fastened to a respective sidewall; a hinge pin that rotatably connects the holder to the attachment plate; and a return mechanism that applies a force on the gate to restore the gate to a rest position.

Abstract: A cleaning roll, including a cylindrical center core with an insertion slot, the insertion slot having a first width, and a first end cap detachably secured to a first end of the center core. The cleaning roll further includes a second end cap detachably secured to a second end of the center core opposite the first end and a cleaning material with a beginning insertion flap, the beginning insertion flap having a width less than or equal to the first width and being arranged within the insertion slot. The cleaning material is arranged to wind around the center core.

Abstract: A cleaning device includes a hexagonal flat mop head and an articulating mop handle and that are geometrically configurable into a plurality of different cleaning positions with respect to linear handle axis to improve access to surfaces and corners of a restricted access controlled environment. To enable articulation of the mop handle, an articulating handle joint interconnects an upper handle segment and a lower handle segment so as to pivot with respect to a handle pivot axis that can be orthogonal to the linear handle axis. The cleaning device may also include a mop coupling enabling multiaxial movement of the flat mop head and the articulating mop handle.
