  • Patent number: 9702212
Abstract: A subsea hydrocarbon production system comprises a tubing hanger which is positioned at an upper end of a well bore, a tubing string which extends from the tubing hanger into the well bore and is fluidly connected to the tubing hanger production bore, and a christmas tree which is positioned above the tubing hanger. The christmas tree comprises a production bore which is fluidly connected to the tubing hanger production bore, a production outlet which is connected to the production bore, a first barrier element which is positioned in the production outlet, and a first closure device which is positioned in the production bore above the production outlet. In this manner access from above the christmas tree through the production bore does not require passage through a barrier element.

  • Patent number: 6926467
Abstract: A device (20) for replacing equipment, i.e. modules on an installation (10) on the seabed. The device comprises a box-shaped buoyancy element which has storage spaces (25) for equipment together with winch devices (22) assigned to each storage space. During use the device is lowered from a vessel (1) to the seabed by a crane (3), but is stopped a distance from the installation, whereupon the locally provided winches (22) are used to pull up and position the equipment.

  • Publication number: 20030098582
Abstract: A method for connection of a first, stationary pipe (21) with a second, movable pipe on a seabed (20). The first pipe (21) is initially enclosed with clearance by a first sleeve (6) of a rigid frame (1). The second pipe is pulled into the frame (1) and enclosed by a second sleeve (7) of the frame (1). From each sleeve (6,7) there protrudes a pipe connection. The pipe connections are interconnected via an interconnecting pipe. Between each sleeve inside the pipe connections and the pipes (21) connected thereto, a gasket is mounted. The gasket is clamped between the sleeves and the pipes by means of jacks. A perforating device finally provides holes through each sleeve (6,7) and the wall of the associated pipe (21), whereby a communication is obtained between the pipes via the pipe connections and the interconnecting pipe. A device for implementing the method and a device for sealing connection of a sleeve with a pipe.

  • Patent number: 5501549
Abstract: A tool for the remote-controlled pulling, aligning and connecting of a subsea conduit to a subsea installation. The tool includes a framework, a pulling wire with a pulling head which can be releasably attached to the end of the subsea conduit and also optionally aligning means which bring the ends of the conduit which are to be connected in line with one another. The tool has a frame pivotally mounted on the framework around a substantially horizontal axis oriented substantially at right angle to the axis of the conduit and at almost the same height at which the conduit will finally lie, said frame including a grip elevator which can grip and hold the pulled conduit and manipulate the end of the conduit between a slanting pulling position and a final substantially horizontal connecting position.
