  • Publication number: 20160194260
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for production of p-cymene from cyclic monoterpenes in the presence of an Fe(III)-salt as a catalyst. In particular it relates to a method for production of p-cymene from cyclic monoterpenes containing high levels of sulphur, such as crude sulphate turpentine. The method can be performed as two different, subsequent processes for the isomerization and oxidation reactions, or in a single process wherein these reactions take place at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20150031930
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of isolating cymene comprising the following steps: a) providing a solution comprising cymene and monoterpenes, b) adding sulphuric acid to the solution in a) such that the concentration of sulphuric acid in the solution is at least 0.5% (w/w), such as 1-25% (w/w), c) distilling the solution mixture from step b) such that a target chemical stream enriched in cymene is obtained and separated from a residual stream.

  • Patent number: 8440159
Abstract: Desirable chemicals are recovered from a raw material that is formed in substantial amounts during the production of cellulose pulp from renewable lingo-cellulose material. An ammonia/ammonium-containing methanol/water mixture is acidified with an acid that has the ability of forming ammonium salt with the ammonium. The mixture is circulated and passed through an apparatus that has an indirect heat exchanger combined with an storage volume fitted with a gas collection device.

  • Publication number: 20120103039
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a slow-release fertilizer comprising the steps of providing a mixture comprising urea and a first lignin compound; heating the mixture to a temperature in the range of 70-170° C. to obtain a reacted mixture; forming the reacted mixture to obtain a fertilizer composition and forming a coating on the slow-release fertilizer; the coating comprising either at least one resin acid and at least one inorganic salt or a second lignin compound, to obtain the slow-release-fertilizer. Further, the present invention relates to a slow-release fertilizer obtainable by the method. There is also provided a slow-release fertilizer comprising a coating, the coating comprising at least one resin acid and a calcium salt.
