    Abstract: The present invention refers to dicyanovinylsubstituted furan derivatives, processes for their production and their application. The new furan derivatives are represented by the general formula ##STR1## wherein x.sup.1 and x.sup.2 are equal or different and stand for H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, halogen, NO.sub.2 or CN.In the general formula I, n may be 0 or 1.
