    Abstract: An endoscope comprises a hollow shank, optic viewing means positioned in the hollow shank for observing a body cavity, and a separate adjustable instrument channel which is axially, slidably arranged in an internal guiding region of the hollow shank. The instrument channel has a flexible curvature section and a laterally running end section with an end portion that is pivotably and articulably mounted in a radial passage in the distal circumferential wall region of the hollow shank. Sliding the instrument channel axially in the hollow shank results in flexing of the curvature section and pivoting of the end portion, such that an auxiliary instrument provided in the instrument channel is laterally deflected when guided through the hollow shank.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an instrument such as a technoscope, for machining the surfaces of for example, engine blades in normally inaccessible cavities, having a machining tool able to be simultaneously observed at the machining location with an optic, comprising an instrument shank to which a head is distally coupled, said head carrying the tool and being pivotable relative to the longitudinal axis of the instrument shank. In order to create the possibility of being able to measure damage to the surface to be machined with this instrument, a measuring tool with a measuring template is attachable to the instrument head, and with this instrument head, is pivotable into the field of view of the optic. The measuring tool may be attached to the head of the instrument in a simple manner instead of a machining tool. However the measuring template may also be arranged directly at the machining tool.

    Abstract: An instrument is provided for working of surfaces of parts inside engineered cavities by means of a tool, with the possibility of simultaneous viewing of the site of the working operation. The instrument, also called a borescope, has a tool that can be placed at the end of the instrument shaft and be driven in a rotating fashion by means of a belt that goes around a drive pulley at one end and, at the other end, around a pulley secured to a shaft that is mounted in a head that carries the tool and can swivel. In its operating position, the head is turned at an angle of 90.degree. to the shaft, whereby the pulleys lie in the same plane. At other angles, the belt is prevented from jumping out of the pulley.

The depth of the damaged area is measured by means of a depth measuring instrument sensitive to the disturbance of current flow between the electrodes, and the potential difference resulting therefrom.

    Abstract: A portable measuring device for testing optical systems of an endoscope consisting of a base plate, a rail with a longitudinally extending V groove for receiving a portion of the endoscope being mounted to extend parallel to the plate on a carriage movable at right angles to the groove. The device includes a vertical shaft mounted on the plate and terminating at one end in a conical point and the shaft carries at least one extension arm which is mounted to pivot in a plane parallel to the base plate. Each arm adjustably supports a measuring disk which can have its height above the plate changed or its distance from the shaft changed.
