Patent number: 10688206Abstract: A gas-permeable filter system for a sterile container includes a filter element and a seal portion that sealingly surrounds a gas exchange opening provided in a sterile container wall section in such a manner that the seal portion rests against the sterile container wall section so that a sterile flow path is formed through the gas exchange opening and the filter element. A temperature-sensitive adjusting section releases at least the seal portion from the sterile container wall section when a specified temperature is reached or exceeded such that a non-sterile flow path is formed which allows fluid to be supplied or discharged via the gas exchange opening while bypassing the filter element. The sterile container includes a base and walls that define a receiving space. The sterile container also includes a cover for closing the receiving space. At least one filter system is preferably secured to the sterile container base.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2017Date of Patent: June 23, 2020Assignee: AESCULAP AGInventors: Stefan Thomas, Wolfgang Sauter, Jörg Hinrich Timmermann

Patent number: 10548613Abstract: A medical shaft-type instrument includes an instrument head for applying clamps, the instrument head connectable via an instrument shaft to an instrument handle for actuating the instrument head. The instrument also includes a clip magazine having a housing, in which magazine a plurality of clamps are bunkered at a predetermined storage position spacing to each other according to the storage principle. All of the clamps can be moved forward by one storage position by a reciprocating transport and entraining rail within the scope of a single delivery stroke. The transport and entraining rail has one clamp entraining element per clamp. The relative distance of the individual clamp entraining elements differs from the respective storage position distances of the clamps in such a way that the entrainment of the bunkered clamps is carried out within the scope of one single delivery stroke in a clocked way.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2015Date of Patent: February 4, 2020Assignee: Aesculap AGInventors: Thomas Scholten, Gunnar Wanke, Jörg Hinrich Timmermann, Michael Benk, Rainer Wursthorn

Patent number: 10507025Abstract: A medical shaft instrument includes an instrument head with at least one jaw member for applying clamps with two jaw member branches. The instrument head is connectable over an instrument shaft having an outer tube with a handle for actuation of the jaw member. A clip magazine includes a retaining rail for supporting clamps in a predetermined storage position distance from each other. All the clamps are advanceable by a forth and back movable conveying and advancing rail. The clamp closest to the instrument head is conveyable by a tongue into the jaw member between the jaw member branches. The retaining rail has a distally extending support plate or bridge, which covers a jaw member region of a jaw member branch on the other jaw member branch facing side such that a tipping of an advanced or advanceable clamp on the jaw member branch is prevented.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 2015Date of Patent: December 17, 2019Assignee: Aesculap AGInventors: Thomas Scholten, Gunnar Wanke, Jörg Hinrich Timmermann, Michael Benk, Rainer Wursthorn

Patent number: 9023745Abstract: A photovoltaic cell, for example a thin-film photovoltaic cell, having a substrate glass made of aluminosilicate glass, has a glass composition which has SiO2 and Al2O3 as well as the alkali metal oxide Na2O and the alkaline earth oxides CaO, MgO, and BaO, and optionally further components. The glass composition includes 10 to 16 wt.-% Na2O, >0 to <5 wt.-% CaO, and >1 to 10 wt.-% BaO, and the ratio of CaO:MgO is in the range of 0.5 to 1.7. The aluminosilicate glass used is crystallization stable because of the selected quotient of CaO/MgO and has a transformation temperature >580° C. and a processing temperature <1200° C. Therefore, it represents a more thermally stable alternative to soda-lime glass. The aluminosilicate glass is used as a substrate glass, superstrate glass, and/or cover glass for a photovoltaic cells, for example for thin-film photovoltaic cells, in particular those based on semiconductor composite material, such as CdTe, CIS, or CIGS.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2012Date of Patent: May 5, 2015Assignee: Schott AGInventors: Jörg Hinrich Fechner, Christof Kass, Franz Ott
