  • Patent number: 9272988
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing organic diisocyanates by reacting the corresponding diamines with phosgene in inert solvents. High-melting diamines from the series of 1,5-naphthalenediamine, tetralindiamine, 1,4-phenylenediamine, durenediamine, and o-tolidinediamine are used as diamines. According to the invention, a suspension of the diamines in inert solvents is produced, wherein dynamic mixing units, selected from dispersion disks and rotor-stator systems, are used, and the obtained suspension is phosgenated.

  • Patent number: 7225701
Abstract: A locking device has an actuating lever for an adjustable steering column in a vehicle. The locking device is provided between a mounting fixed on the vehicle and a casing tube. The casing tube surrounds the steering column and can be adjusted relative to the mounting. The actuating lever can be pivoted below and/or to the side of the casing tube between a locking position and a release position for locking and releasing the casing tube. A handle component for the actuating lever is positioned at a given distance from the casing tube when the actuating lever is in the locking position. The actuating lever is configured as a deformation element and, when there is an impact, the handle component can be deformed in a direction toward the casing tube for absorbing energy and protecting the driver.

  • Patent number: 7112693
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing an aliphatic oligocarbonate diol comprising a) reacting an aliphatic diol with dimethyl carbonate at an elevated pressure in a reaction mixture, and b) subsequently removing unreacted methanol and dimethyl carbonate under a reduced pressure to uncap the terminal OH groups.

  • Patent number: 6833433
Abstract: A process for the production of aliphatic oligocarbonate diols is disclosed. The optionally catalyzed high yield process entails the multistage transesterification of aliphatic diols with dimethyl carbonate. In the process DMC-methanol mixtures that have been distilled off are recycled to the reaction solution with further conversion and depletion of the contained DMC in the same or in a following reaction batch.

  • Patent number: 5180913
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a mass spectrometer for mass spectroscopic or mass spectrometric investigation of particles. The particles are separated in a separating system in accordance with their different masses. In order to reduce detection errors due to scattered particles, there is arranged upstream of a detecting device a correction device which builds up a braking potential in order to suppress particles having an energy loss due to scattering. The invention provides a further, preferably combined correction, by means of which the particles are selected as a function of their direction of motion. For this purpose, the mass spectrometer according to the invention preferably has at least one braking electrode and one quadrupole lens.

  • Patent number: 5043575
Abstract: In isotope mass spectrometry, there is the problem that in the case of very great frequency differences, the less frequent masses are swamped by the more frequent masses in the measurement result or that the corresponding measurement result is falsified. A correction device is proposed, which comprises a quadrupole mass filter with a voltage supply device which is controlled by the ion separation system and is designed in such a manner that the supply voltages of the quadrupole mass filter and thus its characteristic with respect to the mass quantity to be allowed through are switched over synchronously with the varying mass deflection setting of the ion separation system.
