  • Patent number: 9828680
Abstract: A method for operating a bearing arrangement (1) including at least one rolling bearing (2). The method provides for applying a positive electric potential to a bearing part (3) of the rolling bearing (2), another part (4) of the bearing arrangement (1) being connected as a cathode, and a current flowing between the bearing part (3) and the cathode (4) is limited.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 25, 2014
Date of Patent: November 28, 2017
Assignee: Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG
Inventors: Matthias Goss, Walter Holweger, Marcus Wolf, Toni Blass, Holger Kaup, Jorg Loos
  • Publication number: 20160319868
Abstract: A plastic rolling bearing cage, namely an angular ball bearing cage, including two cage rings, the diameters of which differ from one another, namely a smaller cage ring and a larger cage ring. A number of cage pockets for accommodating in each case a rolling body, namely a ball, are formed by the cage rings and by the cage webs connecting them. The cage rings are designed in one piece with the cage webs and contain solid lubricant. The ratio of the third power of the width (BKi, BKa) of the cage ring, which is measured in the axial direction, and the cage pocket diameter (DW) is at least 0.4 mm2.

  • Patent number: 9404538
Abstract: A slip-free rolling bearing (1) is provided, in the outer ring (3) of which there is formed an encircling groove (7). The rolling bodies (2) of this rolling bearing are surrounded, in the manner of an envelope circle, by a central ring (8) and are in physical contact therewith. To ensure permanent drive of the rolling bodies, the central ring is inserted into the groove so as to be radially free but is fixed rotationally fixedly in said groove, wherein a radial depth of the groove is greater than a thickness of the central ring. The rotational fixing of the central ring in the groove of the outer ring is effected by a spring element.
