Abstract: A fiber optic cable connector is disclosed which will prevent the filament from being dislocated from the polished front contacting surface of the connector although the filament tends to move relative to the cable jacket in lengthwise direction of the cable under temperature change or bending influences. The cable jacket is fastened in a rear part of the connector housing, and the filament is fastened to a front part of the connector housing. The fastening zones of the cable jacket and the filament are held in fixed spaced relationship in lengthwise direction of the cable, and a compensating space is defined therebetween for receiving a portion of the filament with substantial looseness or freedom of lateral movement.
