  • Patent number: 6451228
Abstract: An adjusting method for a rotary tablet press with an angle pulse encoder for evaluating the pressing force course at the individual punches in at least one pressing station, in which the angle pulse encoder per revolution of the press rotor produces a pulse per revolution and per rotational angle value produces an angle pulse, characterised by the following steps: the angle pulse encoder is rigidly assembled relative to the rotor shaft in any position the rotor with a predetermined punch is moved visually under the middle of a main pressing roller (coarse position) the rotor is rotated until the pulse per revolution appears, and the angle pulses until the pulse per revolution are counted by a machine computer and their number is stored the computer computes the coarse positions of all punches, expressed in angle pulses, in relation to the pulse per revolution and produces on rotation of the rotor one coarse position pulse per punch in the computer to each coarse position there is allocated a measuring w

  • Patent number: 6442859
Abstract: A method for determining the position of a punch with respect to a die in a powder press with the following steps: storing a reference measure in a computer corresponding to a predetermined relatively small distance of the punch to the upper edge or lower edge of the die, storing a reference offset in the computer by counting the pulses of an incremental path sensor actuated by the punch on raising the punch from the reference measure to an index pulse, measuring the position of the punch above the reference offset using an absolute path sensor which evaluates the path of the adjusting piston for the punch and whose readings are inputted into the computer, and inputting the pulses of the incremental path sensor into the computer as soon as the actual position of the punch is equal or smaller than the sum measure of the reference offset and the reference measure.

  • Patent number: 6426458
Abstract: A control cabinet for a tablet press including an enclosure having wall, ceiling, and bottom portions of sheet metal, a door which closes an opening of the enclosure wherein a door board attached to the enclosure by means of at least one hinge only consists of two panels of a transparent material with no surrounding border between which a netting of a conductive material is disposed, and a contacting device which electrically connects the netting to a portion of the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 6362970
Abstract: A distribution device for a rotary press, including: a distribution box in or on the housing of the rotary press, a plurality of connectors on opposed sides of the distribution box for connection to one cable each at the externally located end, a p.c. board in the distribution box for an electric connection between opposed connectors with the connectors having soldering pins which are extended through an opening in the distribution box and are fixed by soldering in appropriate bores of the p.c. board at their free ends.

  • Patent number: 6319435
Abstract: A method for the production monitoring with the manufacture of tablets in a rotary tabletting machine, with a row of upper and lower punches arranged in pairs, which cooperate with matrix bores, in which for each punch pair the maximum of the pressing force is measured, via a preselected number of readings (measuring row) an actual mean value is computed and compared to a nominal mean value and the supply of material to the individual matrix bores (filling degree) is changed when the deviation exceeds a predetermined measure, wherein before forming the mean value those pressing force readings of each measuring row, which significantly deviate with respect to other readings, are eliminated (freak value test).

  • Patent number: 6074584
Abstract: A method for manufacturing pressed parts from hard metal, ceramic, sintered metal or likewise, in which a part of a charge of a powder-like or granular original material is filled into a pressing mould and is pressed with at least one pressing stamp against a counter surface, wherein the force and the distance of the pressing stamp are measured, and wherein there are the following method steps:depending on the geometry of the pressed part and on the original material during the compression for a pressing stamp a desired force-distance diagram (nominal curve) is determined and stored;in a computer during the compression the measured values for the distance and the force of the pressing stamp are compared to the nominal curve;by way of at least one separately actuated section of the pressing stamp or of a separate stamp the pressure on the pressing material during the compression phase is increased or reduced as soon as a deviation from the nominal curve is determined, in order at the end of the compression pha

  • Patent number: 5223192
Abstract: A method of monitoring maximum pressing forces of a pelletizing machine provided with a rotatable matrix disc and plungers, involves the steps of supplying values corresponding to pressing forces applied by plungers for evaluation in a computer so as to control a deviating device, detecting a position of the matrix disc continuously by an angle pulse transmitter and releasing pulses by the latter to supply the pulses to the computer, and coordinating the pulses with predetermined maximum pressing force values and supplying to evaluation. The pelletizing machine has a rotatable matrix disc, plungers whose maximum pressing forces are supplied for evaluation, a computer to which the maximum pressing forces of the plungers are supplied for evaluation, and an angle pulse transmitter supplying pulses released by the matrix disc during its rotation into the computer for an association to measured maximum pressing forces.
