  • Publication number: 20030020548
Abstract: The clock and data regenerator comprises a control loop which is controlled by a phase discriminator (PD) and two frequency discriminators (FD1, FD2). The first frequency discriminator (FD1) enlarges the catchment range of the control loop in a known manner. The second frequency discriminator (FD2) determines the ratio of the bit rates of the clock signal (TS) which it produces itself and of the data signal (DSF). It sets the loop frequency divider (6) appropriately, and supplies a control voltage for setting the oscillator (5) until the first frequency discriminator (FD1) can carry out this function.

  • Patent number: 4713655
Abstract: Logic signals corresponding to a detected thread break and/or thread loop in a package being wound on a bobbin are evaluated within a logic circuit to communicate the quality of a thread package. The logic signals can be processed in various ways.In one embodiment, discrimination is made of repeated logic signals produced by a single thread break. In another embodiment, the total number of logic signals are counted.Blocking arrangements can be provided to block logic signals caused by the same thread break or thread loop.

  • Patent number: 4677387
Abstract: The monitor is spaced a small distance from the curved path of the travelling thread to sense defects in the thread. In one embodiment, the monitoring means is spaced from the winding surface of a chuck to sense broken threads or an accurate build-up of the thread package. The monitoring means includes a detector head with a charge collector rod for sensing changes in electrical potential of the rod due to contact with a travelling thread part. The monitoring means can be moved away from the chuck to maintain a constant distance from the thread package being wound on a bobbin tube on the chuck.

  • Patent number: 4566642
Abstract: A winder is provided for winding synthetic filament into packages formed on a rotatable chuck which is directly driven by a drive motor. The speed of the drive motor, as represented by a suitable signal, is compared with a limit therefore, as represented by a second signal. The limit speed is reduced during formation of a package as an inverse function of the package diameter.
