  • Publication number: 20160319861
Abstract: The invention relates to a rolling bearing having an inner race and an outer race. Between the inner race and the outer race, several rolling bodies are associated with at least one first bearing row between an inner raceway associated with the first bearing row and the outer raceway and several rolling bodies are associated with at least one second bearing row between an inner raceway associated with the second bearing row and the outer raceway. The at least one first bearing row is designed in such a way that several roller bodies are arranged at a distance from the inner raceway and/or the outer raceway of the bearing row when the inner race or outer race is stationary.

  • Publication number: 20060278293
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure measuring line, particularly for invasive blood pressure measurement, which presents a wall made of a flexible material, which surrounds a passageway. The wall consists particularly of at least one inner hose and an outer hose enveloping the former, where the material of the inner hose is harder than the material of the outer hose, and the wall thickness of the inner hose is less than the wall thickness of the outer hose. The inner side of the outer hose is in full-surface contact with the outer side of the inner hose.

  • Publication number: 20060033334
Abstract: A Luer-Lock connector for medical devices with a tubular body and a swivel nut enclosing it and secured on it. The swivel nut has a radially inward-protruding edge and the tubular body has at least one radially outward-protruding elastic arm, whose end can be stopped against the edge.

  • Publication number: 20040140444
Abstract: The medical regulating valve for adjusting the flow in an infusion or transfusion procedure has a housing (2), and a valve chamber (21) into which an inlet connecting piece and an outlet connecting piece (22, 23) open. A rotating piece has a cylindrical valve plug (41) which can be inserted in the valve chamber (21) to form a seal between the plug and the chamber. The valve plug, has, on its outer periphery, at least one groove (42, 43) opposite the connecting pieces (22, 23) connecting the connecting pieces with one another in terms of flow and having a cross-section changing in the peripheral direction. An insert (3) having the shape of an annular disc overlaps the valve chamber (21) and has, on its side facing the rotating piece (4), a number of markings (35, 36, 37) lying on concentric circles. Provided on the rotating piece (4) are a number of windows (45, 46, 47) which are offset with respect to each other in the peripheral and radial directions, each being opposite one of the markings (35, 36, 37).

  • Publication number: 20030109806
Abstract: The reservoir for blood withdrawal has a housing (1) and a displaceable piston (7) located therein by means of which, in the interior of the housing, a reservoir chamber (16) of variable size can be formed. A piston is coupled to an actuation device (11). Furthermore, the piston (7) is pressed by a first spring (14) into a closed position in which the reservoir chamber (16) has a minimum volume. The actuation device (11) and the piston (7) are loosely coupled to each other by a second spring (10), where the spring excursion of this spring (10) is smaller than the movement path (13) of the actuation device, so that, at the end of the movement, a forced coupling between the piston and the actuation device (11) occurs.

  • Patent number: 6040336
Abstract: A method is described for treating bacterially induced meningitis, comprising administering a prostane derivative of formula I or Ia ##STR1## wherein X.sup.1, X.sup.2, X.sup.3, X.sup.4, X.sup.5, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are as described below, and the --O--R.sup.3 -- group is in the .alpha.- or .beta.-configuration. The prostane derivative can optionally comprise or serve as an adjuvant, and it can be administered in combination with an antiobiotic.

  • Patent number: 5960822
Abstract: The invention concerns a valve arrangement installed in a hydraulic system including a housing (17a, 17b) which is provided with two connections (22, 23) and includes a closing element (14) which lies in a neutral position on a valve seat (6). In accordance with the invention, a valve element (11) is provided which has two step valves (15a, 15b), arranged at a distance, each being associated with one flow direction, whose the closing elements (14) are acted upon by a spring force.

  • Patent number: 5061128
Abstract: In a mechanism for the drive of a tool spindle which performs a rotating indexing motion, particularly for the production of gear-wheels, a rocking lever is used which is connected by a displaceable sliding swivel joint to a second member such that linear motion is able to be executed by the second member thereby causing a linear adjusting movement in the indexing mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4545420
Abstract: An apparatus for determining the wear of a mold wall during continuous casting of metal by using at least one distance measuring sensor disposed in the mold wall to measure the instantaneous distance from the sensor to the casting. The surface of the casting adjacent the mold wall may be irregular, so the minimum value of the distance between the sensor and casting is stored and used as the current distance between the sensor and the inner mold wall. Mold wear is determined by subtracting the current distance between the sensor and the inner mold wall from the original distance, before the abrasive casting process began. The sensor signals are also used to determine when the mold geometry should be adjusted to compensate for the wear. This is accomplished by storing the maximum distance between the sensor and casting and subtracting the current distance from this maximum, since the maximum distance increases as the casting shrinks away from the mold wall.
