Publication number: 20240136782Abstract: A bus bar includes a load terminal connector comprising a conductive plate that extends from a first edge to an opposite second edge and extends from a third edge to an opposite fourth edge. The third and fourth edges extend from the first edge to the second edge. The plate includes a window opening located between the first and second edges and between the third and fourth edges. The plate also includes a slot extending into the plate from the first edge to the window opening. The plate includes first and second sets of openings configured to receive connections with first and second power terminals of switch packages. The first set of openings and the second set of openings are located on opposite sides of the slot.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: Henry Todd Young, Alvaro Jorge Mari Curbelo, Jason Daniel Kuttenkuler, Tiziana Bertoncelli, Sean Patrick Cillessen

Publication number: 20240102960Abstract: An embodiment provides a method for measuring an amount of total organic fluoride content of a PFAS containing sample, including: placing a sample comprising a PFAS compound in a measurement device, wherein the measurement device comprises an oxidation cell and a non-oxidation cell, wherein the oxidation cell comprises a boron-doped diamond electrode; measuring, using the measurement device, an amount of total inorganic fluoride of the sample before an oxidation; applying an electrical potential to a portion of the sample in the oxidation cell, wherein the electrical potential oxidizes the PFAS compound; measuring, using the measurement device, an amount of total organic fluoride of the sample after the oxidation to provide a measurement signal of the total organic fluoride; and determining a first derivative of the measurement signal of the total organic fluoride. Other aspects are described and claimed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2022Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Vishnu Vardhanan Rajasekharan, Matthew Ryan Salzer, Russell Young, Benjamin James Walter, Jorge Gomez

Patent number: 6507276Abstract: A tire pressure monitoring system includes plurality of sensor modules having respective motion switches and pressure sensors respectively attached to the tires of a vehicle. The sensor modules communicate, by RF broadcast transmission, tire pressure messages at staggered times so that the transmitted messages to a passenger compartment monitor do not interfere with each other for improve reliable reception of the messages.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2000Date of Patent: January 14, 2003Assignee: CM Automotive Systems Inc.Inventors: Jorge A. Young, Chander P. Mittal, Joe Huayue Zhou

Patent number: 6453737Abstract: A tire pressure monitor method enables the reassignment of tire pressure sensors to respective tire locations on the vehicle in the event that the sensors are lost or replaced with new sensors having differing identification codes. A passenger compartment monitors, that normally monitor tire pressures through broadcast transmission from the sensors, is manually put into an identification entry mode selecting a desired tire location, and when the vehicle begins travel, a motion switch in the new sensor detects vehicular motion and activates the transmission of the new identification code that is received by the monitor that then assigns the presently selected tire location to received identification code.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1999Date of Patent: September 24, 2002Inventors: Jorge A. Young, Chander P. Mittal, Joe Huayue Zhou

Patent number: 4816658Abstract: There is disclosed herein an improved card reader for a security system utilizing a central controller and a plurality of card readers for controlling traffic through critical doors in a facility. During normal operation, the card readers read card data and send it to the central controller. The central controller makes the decision whether to grant or deny access based upon a comparison of the card data and data kept in memory regarding persons who are authorized access to certain areas. The central controller then sends a "Go" or "No Go" message, i.e., whether or not to grant access, to the reader after the access decision is made. The improved reader includes means for storing the authorized identification code data for persons who will be allowed access during times when communications between the card reader and the central controller are not working.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1987Date of Patent: March 28, 1989Assignee: Casi-Rusco, Inc.Inventors: Bhupendra J. Khandwala, Jorge A. Young, Sarkis V. Kalustian

Patent number: 4544832Abstract: There is disclosed herein an improved card reader for a security system utilizing a central controller and a plurality of card readers for controlling traffic through critical doors in a facility. The improved reader includes means for improving the system throughput by buffer storing large numbers of transactions all occurring within a short time for time clock functions in time and attendance applications for hourly employees. Also disclosed are means for conditioned emergency responses to sensed changes in status of alarm contacts coupled to the reader and located in the vicinity of the reader within 2 miles. There is also disclosed means for temporarily storing transaction information for transactions made during periods when communications with the controller are lost. During such degraded mode operation, access is granted to cardholders with the proper system code and their ID code and the time of the transaction are stored in a buffer.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1985Date of Patent: October 1, 1985Assignee: Figgie International, Inc.Inventors: Jorge A. Young, Bhupendra J. Khandwala
