  • Patent number: 11833345
Abstract: Implantable medical lead devices such as leads and lead extensions include conductors within the lead device body that interconnect proximal and distal electrical connectors and that have balanced clocked positions. The balanced clocked positions may be achieved by separating a first conductor from a second conductor by an adequate amount, where the first conductor has a length as measured from a given point along the lead to the end of the conductor that is most similar to the length of the second conductor as measured in the same manner. The balanced clocked position of conductor pairings based on similarity of length may provide benefits such as reducing the tendency of the lead to curve when one or more layers of the lead body are being injection molded around the conductors.

  • Patent number: 9512665
Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment, a window sill comprises a structural base having a first side and a second side, a fenestration cap attached to the structural base, a window frame mounted on the fenestration cap and finish elements applied to the structural base and adjacent to the fenestration cap. The window frame may be removed from the fenestration cap without disturbing the finish elements. Alternatively, a method of installing a window in a window opening comprises providing a window opening and preparing the window opening for receiving a fenestration cap, installing a fenestration cap by placement within and attachment to the window opening in a primary step, and installing a window within the window opening by placement within and attachment to the fenestration cap in a secondary step.

  • Publication number: 20110220840
Abstract: In select embodiments of the present invention, a method for optimizing thermal transfer capacity of a fluid employs multi-walled carbon nano-tubes (MWCNTs) and a surfactant such as Gum Arabic (GA), that are mixed into a fluid, such as water, according to a specific protocol and energized via ultrasound until a specified amount of total energy is applied. For select embodiments, the maximum demonstrated enhancement of an aqueous fluid in thermal conductivity is 20% and in convective heat Transfer is 32%. The thermal conductivity enhancement increased considerably at bulk temperatures greater than 24° C. The percentage enhancement in convective heat transfer in a tube increases with axial distance. The resultant optimized fluid is also described.

  • Patent number: 5676944
Abstract: The treatment of glaucoma and other conditions relating to diseased trabecular meshwork in the eye is effected by administration of macrophages and/or cytokines to the eye. Increased levels of macrophages within the anterior chamber of the eye will at least partially clear obstruction of the trabecular meshwork and restore viability of trabecular cells in order to enhance release of aqueous fluid from the anterior chamber and reduce intraocular pressures. The administration of cytolines will either recruit macrophages or will effect repair of the trabecular meshwork cells directly.
