  • Publication number: 20130032591
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide a container that is collapsible. When collapsed, the space taken up by the container is less than its original size. The container may be expanded from the collapsed state. When expanded, the container may be used to transport and/or store various items, such as food and liquid goods. The container may be expanded to one or more intermediate states that are less than the fully expanded state. The container may consist of a number of sections and may be available in various sizes. The container may have a lid and a handle. According to exemplary embodiments, the container may operate as a cooler and may have insulative properties.

  • Publication number: 20080029557
Abstract: A beverage container closure with a spout and cap that includes a base which contains a threaded inner wall to be attached to a beverage container by twisting on to mating threads of a beverage container. The base contains an aperture extending through it for conveying the fluid from the beverage container. The base further contains a narrower central portion with a threaded outer wall for selectively mounting a protective outer cap. The base further contains a ring around its lower perimeter attached to a retaining strap which fastens to the protective outer cap. The base further contains a flow control spout assembly. The flow control spout assembly is mounted to the central portion of the base and optionally rotatable. The flow control spout assembly has a lower portion with vertically grooved outer walls to facilitate grip when rotating.

  • Patent number: 6764622
Abstract: A vacuum-insulated container for transporting and dispensing beverages or food products has a stainless steel vacuum-insulated liner surrounded by a body. The body includes several cylindrical sections attached together. Expanding foam is sprayed between the liner and the body, and the expanded foam helps to prevent the cylindrical sections from detaching. A weight is placed between the body and the liner for adjusting a center of mass of the container. The center of mass is adjusted to be spaced radially away from a central longitudinal axis of the container, below a mid-plane of the container, and 180° away from a handle around the central longitudinal axis. Thus, if the container falls into water or tips on its side, it will come to rest in a position with the handle standing substantially upright. The handle can fold flush with the container and can extend away from the container for grasping. A locking means is provided to releasably lock the handle in the extended position.

  • Patent number: 6536620
Abstract: A vacuum-insulated beverage container has a body and a vacuum-insulated liner enclosed by the body. Seals between the body and the liner prevent all types of leaks of the beverage held in the liner. A handle is attached to the container using a method that permits the handle to be removably attached with only a single removable fastener. Nesting drinking cups are provided that removably attach to the container and to one another. The drinking cups can be separated from one another by directly pulling the cups apart or by rotating one cup relative to another.

  • Patent number: 5984139
Abstract: An air pressurized liquid decanter is disclosed, which is generally comprised of a pump unit, an external handle, an insulated container body which includes an interior vessel and a base unit. The pump unit is contained within a pump housing which has radially disposed apertures. A cam shaft residing within the pump housing extends through the horizontally disposed apertures and is affixed in rotatable engagement to the external handle. The cam shaft is maintained in mechanical communication with a vertically-movable check valve residing within the pump housing. The vertically-movable check valve is, in turn, placed in mechanical communication with a support disk residing within the pump housing. The support disk overlays a flexible bellows unit, which has an open upper end in atmospheric communication with the vertically-movable check valve and pump housing. The flexible bellows unit also has an open lower end in atmospheric communication with a bulkhead, and with the insulated container body.
