  • Patent number: 11807056
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses, vehicles, and methods for a break-away tow hook. In an illustrative embodiment, an apparatus includes a tow hook configured to extend in a first direction from a surface of a vehicle and to receive a towing line. A mount is configured to displaceably secure the tow hook to the surface. The mount is configured to maintain a position of the tow hook relative to the surface in response to a pulling force being applied to the tow hook in a first direction away from the surface of the vehicle. The mount is further configured to enable the tow hook to move relative to the surface in response to the tow hook incurring a force in a second direction, wherein the second direction is at least partially toward the surface of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230030279
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented herein for a vehicle frame comprising a first rail member and a second rail member. Each of the first rail member and the second rail member comprise a front rail portion, wherein the front rail portion is configured to provide resistance to deformation to protect a battery pack assembly positioned between the first rail member and the second rail member. Additionally, each of the first rail member and the second rail member comprise a rail portion, wherein the rail portion is structured to mechanically deform when subjected to a threshold impact force.

  • Patent number: 10414362
Abstract: Systems and methods for human scanning for interior preference setup are disclosed. An example disclosed vehicle includes a target lamp on a side view mirror of the vehicle. The example vehicle also includes a scanning module. Additionally, the example vehicle includes an active scanning system configured to instruct the target lamp to project a position indicator a known distance from the vehicle, determine a joint structure based on an image of a person standing at the position indicator received from the scanning module, and adjust interior preference settings based on the detected joint structure.
