Abstract: A storage bag attachable to a wheelchair is pivotable from a stored position against the back of a wheelchair backrest to an accessible position adjacent a wheelchair armrest. Pivoting is accomplished under power of an electric motor which rotates an L-shaped bar supporting the storage bag or similar receptacle. The motor can be reversible for powering the bag in both directions between its stored position and its accessible position, or a return spring or gravity return can operate in the return direction. A manual switch controls the driving motor and is preferably mounted on the wheelchair armrest. Electrical energy for powering the motor can be derived from an auxiliary battery mounted on the wheelchair frame.
