Publication number: 20190104780Abstract: Sock and gaiter knitted integrally in a single garment. The sock comprises a legging (1) and a foot of the sock (3). Coupled to the sock, there is a gaiter (2) along the sock circular section, between said legging (1) and said foot (3). Through the inherent elasticity of the sock (1, 3) and of the gaiter (2), namely in its circular section union, one can get an adaptable piece and able to keep in proper position to prevent the entry of foreign bodies or liquids, namely water, earth or sand, to the inside of the shoe, even under conditions of high effort and movement by the user. One can include adjusting means (4). This type of elastic adjustment, which prevents movements better than existing protections by being coupled to the legging (1) of the sock, allows superior sealing and maintains the comfort and safety of its user.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2018Publication date: April 11, 2019Applicant: Fiorima, S.A.Inventor: Paulo Jorge PINTO RODRIGUES

Publication number: 20090179342Abstract: A hybrid thermoform-injection molding process for fusing labels during the molding process onto plastic parts having multiple contours and/or holes, different wall thickness and depths is presented. In the preferred embodiment, a label made of the same material as the plastic piece to which it is to be applied is fixed into a shape corresponding to that of the final desired shape through thermoforming. The label is then placed into a second mold where it is fused to plastic in an injection molding process to form a final product.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2008Publication date: July 16, 2009Inventors: Pedro Jorge Pinto Oliveira Araujo, Pedro Miguel Gomes de Sa

Publication number: 20080284061Abstract: An apparatus and process for fusing labels onto plastic parts having multiple contoirs and/or holes during the molding process is presented. According to the invention, a label having art work or wording on its interior surface and made of the same material as the plastic piece to which it is to be applied, is positioned onto a mold. Placement is accomplished through the use of a robotic arm having an insulated plate at its operational end to eliminate electrical charge transfer to the tool. The interior side of the label is insulated. An electrical charge is then applied to the front surface of the label enabling it to be positioned and held in place on an irregularly shaped mold. In the preferred embodiment, polypropylene is used for the label and the plastic layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2007Publication date: November 20, 2008Inventors: Pedro Jorge Pinto Oliveira Araujo, Pedro Miguel Gomes de Sa
