  • Patent number: 12222364
Abstract: A method for physical exercise using a motion tracking system having a computing device and inertial measurement units adapted to be arranged on body members of a person. The method includes: digitally processing first sets of measurements provided by the units to determine whether and adjust the operation of the motion tracking system when: any of the units is arranged on a body member with an orientation outside of a predetermined orientation range for a unit on that body member; and/or two or more units arranged on interchanged body members according to the predetermined unit arrangement; adjusting the operation of the motion tracking system when the computing device determines, based on at least the first sets of measurements, that: at least one unit has an orientation outside of the predetermined orientation range, and/or two or more units are arranged on interchanged body members; and digitally processing second sets of measurements.

  • Patent number: 12212376
Abstract: A method for determining cause of a disconnection between a computing device of a motion tracking system and one or more sensors of the system, the sensors arranged on a person's body, the computing device configured to at least receive data through a wireless communications connection. Each sensor is configured to at least transmit data through the connection. The method includes measuring a signal strength of the connection with each sensor while the communications are established; processing signal strength values corresponding to a sensor when it has been disconnected from the computing device to determine if the sensor has been disconnected due to a distance increase between the person and computing device; and providing or commanding the provision of at least one user perceptible signal when the computing device has determined that at least one sensor has been disconnected due to a distance increase between the person and computing device.

  • Publication number: 20240041353
Abstract: Disclosed is a computer-implemented method. The method comprises processing, by at least one computing device, first measurements taken at least while a person performs a predetermined physical exercise, wherein the first measurements are taken by at least one motion tracking device, at least one optical sensor, or both. The method also comprises processing, by the at least one computing device, second measurements taken at least while the person performs the predetermined physical exercise, wherein the second measurements are taken by a pelvic sensor. The method also comprises determining, by at least one computing device, whether the person has performed the predetermined physical exercise based on the first measurements and the second measurements according to criteria associated with the predetermined physical exercise.

  • Patent number: 11619364
Abstract: The trend towards increasing the glazed area in automobiles has reduced the potential locations for mounting cabin lighting. This is especially true for vehicles having large panoramic glazing. Attempts to utilize integrated light sources within the glazing have had mixed results. Embedded LEDs in the laminate tend to be too bright for night driving. Edge feed illumination with light dispersing elements on the glass to date have only been able to provide low intensity levels. Both approaches tend to reduce visibility and aesthetics in the off state. The current invention provides a means and a method to produce a laminate which provides bright cabin lighting without compromising the function of the glazing to serve as a window, by creating a light dispersing layer that is substantially invisible when in the off state and very bright in the on state.

  • Publication number: 20220387618
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for treating or ameliorating the effects of a HER2 positive breast cancer in a subject by administration of a combination of tucatinib and an anti-HER2 antibody-drug conjugate (e.g., ado-trastuzumab emtansine or trastuzumab deruxtecan). In some embodiments, the methods provided herein are useful for treating or ameliorating the effects of a brain metastasis in a subject having a HER2 positive breast cancer by administration of a combination of tucatinib and an anti-HER2 antibody-drug conjugate (e.g., ado-trastuzumab emtansine or trastuzumab deruxtecan).

  • Publication number: 20200077675
Abstract: A candy floss composition and an apparatus for creating individual pieces of candy floss that do not bond to one another are provided. The candy floss composition comprises about 99.99% to about 45% by weight of candy floss ingredients, and about 0.01% to about 55% by weight of vegetable fat, adjusted to bring the total weight percentage of the candy floss composition to 100%. Vegetable fat changes physical attributes of the candy floss ingredients. During the manufacture of candy floss, heat applied to the candy floss ingredients melts the vegetable fat and sugar to produce candy floss filaments comprising vegetable fat with a film of vegetable fat. When a slab of candy floss is chopped into individual pieces in a candy floss chopper apparatus, the vegetable fat film on each candy floss filament makes candy floss substantially soft and precludes bonding of individual pieces of candy floss to one another.

  • Publication number: 20050087916
Abstract: Method of producing sintered nickel ferrite powder having steps of mixing the particles of iron oxide and nickel oxide with an alkali metal borate mineralizer, compacting the mixture to produce green compact and heating the compact at temperatures less than about 1400° C. Resulting product which may be in the form of a non-consumable electrode for electrolysis of alumina, exhibits satisfactory mechanical properties and electrical properties with enhanced chemical stability while being produced at significantly lower sintering temperatures than previously employed.

  • Publication number: 20050000677
Abstract: A method of producing aluminum castings which includes the steps of casting a molten alloy, contacting the surface of the molten alloy with a humidified atmosphere and solidifying the alloy. The method is particularly suited for aluminum-magnesium alloys such as AA 5XXX and 7XXX series alloys. In addition to reducing the thickness of the surface oxide layer formed during casting, the method also provides improved surface quality of cast products and reduces subsequent remedial re-work or scalping. An improved aluminum-magnesium cast alloy product is also disclosed.
