  • Publication number: 20240081441
Abstract: A first subject of the present invention has an antiviral formulation with metallic copper particles in an unoxidized form and having a median particle diameter inferior or equal to 200 nm, graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide, and a bonding matrix material. A second subject of the invention has an antiviral filtering material with a layer of textile and at least one layer of an antiviral coating comprising metallic copper particles in an unoxidized form and having a median particle diameter inferior or equal to 200 nm, graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide, and a bonding matrix into which both metallic copper particles and graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide are anchored. The invention also concerns methods of preparation of the antiviral formulation and of the antiviral filtering material. Finally, the invention includes an antiviral face mask with a layer of textile coated with the antiviral formulation.

  • Patent number: 11085212
Abstract: An exemplary motor vehicle assembly includes a handle concealing assembly rotatable back and forth between a concealing position that blocks access to a door handle and a revealing position that permits access to the door handle. The door handle is separate from the handle concealing assembly. An exemplary method includes, among other things, rotating a handle concealing assembly back and forth between a concealing position that blocks access to a door handle and a revealing position that permits access to the door handle. The door handle is separate from the handle concealing assembly.

  • Patent number: 10933994
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for delivering a package from a drone to a vehicle. In some instances, the method may include identifying the vehicle by the done. A wireless communication connection may be established between the drone and the vehicle. The vehicle may open an access door of the vehicle to expose an opening in the vehicle. A net configured to receive the package from the drone may be disposed within the vehicle below the opening. The drone may release the package into the net.

  • Publication number: 20190322233
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for controlling airbag activation status at a motor vehicle. Aspects of the invention can detect if a passenger in a motor vehicle is traveling in a less safe position, for example, with his/her feet on the dashboard. If so, an airbag can be deactivated and the passenger can be notified to modify his/her position. Based on images from a first camera, a control unit detects an object in the passenger seat as a human adult or not a human adult. Based on images from a second camera, the control unit detects the presence of legs/feet in a foot well or detects that legs/feet are not present in the footwell. If an object is detected as not a human adult or not having legs/feet in the foot well, the control unit can deactivate an airbag deployment device.

  • Patent number: 8007778
Abstract: Methods useful in the regulation of myocardial contraction are disclosed. The methods are useful in the regulation of heart function. The invention reveals that sorcin overexpression enhances cardiac contractile performance and establishes the concept of sorcin as a regulator of myocardial contractility. The invention also provides screening assays that allow for the identification of agents that modulate sorcin expression. Such agents are useful, for example, for diagnosing cardiac contractile function associated disorders in subjects, and treating the subjects with the agents identified as being able to modulate sorcin expression.
