Patent number: 8127199Abstract: An SDRAM convolutional interleaver with two paths. Symbols are assigned to a given one of the two paths, then are sorted to minimize (to one) a number of breaks in a sequential Interleaver write address. After sorting, the symbols are stored staggered in SRAM and burst written to SDRAM. Before writing to SDRAM, data is accumulated for four symbols at a time, and the data is written four symbols wide to optimize SDRAM access time. 8 bit symbols are written 32 bits at a time to SDRAM.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2007Date of Patent: February 28, 2012Assignee: RGB Networks, Inc.Inventor: Jorgen Andersson

Publication number: 20090139327Abstract: A system and a method of determining imbalances of at least one wheel on a vehicle, when said wheel is rotating, is provided. The method includes the steps of providing a vibration signal from at least one wheel vibration sensor associated with said wheel; providing an angular velocity signal of the rotation of said wheel, the angular velocity signal including a reference signal indicating the start of a wheel revolution; and based thereupon performing signal processing upon these signals for detecting a periodic signal of a predetermined nature corresponding to imbalances in said wheel and determining the position upon said at least one wheel of such imbalance. Accordingly, a wheel imbalance detection system separate from the vehicle is no longer necessary, because the present method provides an indication as to the precise location and type of any detected imbalance in a wheel. By being able to locate the position upon the wheel of such wheel imbalance, the maintenance time used is reduced considerably.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2005Publication date: June 4, 2009Applicant: VOLVO LASTVAGNAR ABInventors: Ingemar Dagh, Jorgen Andersson

Publication number: 20090071770Abstract: A dirt scraper for a disc brake of a vehicle includes at least one scraper blade adapted to abut a braking surface of the disc for scraping off dirt when the disc rotates, and a heat sensitive structure for moving the at least one blade from a first position where it abuts the surface of the disc to a second position where it does not abut the surface of the disc, when the temperature of the heat sensitive structure increases, and vice versa.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 24, 2004Publication date: March 19, 2009Applicant: VOLVO LASTVAGNAR ABInventors: Lars Bagge, Jorgen Andersson

Patent number: 7455337Abstract: Underrun protection method and arrangement for a vehicle including a frame, an impact element arranged in a position corresponding to an anticipated stress from a force in the event of a possible collision with another vehicle. At least one connecting element is provided by way of which the impact element is fixed to the frame. The impact element includes an upper transverse beam and a lower transverse beam fixed to the upper transverse beam. Another aspect of the invention is the arrangement's unique assemblage.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2005Date of Patent: November 25, 2008Assignee: Volvo Lastvagnar ABInventor: Jorgen Andersson

Publication number: 20060012193Abstract: Underrun protection method and arrangement for a vehicle (1) including a frame (3), an impact element (7) arranged in a position corresponding to an anticipated stress from a force (F) in the event of a possible collision with another vehicle (2). At least one connecting element (8) is fixed by way of which the impact element (7) to the frame (3). The impact element includes an upper transverse beam (7?) and a lower transverse beam (7?) fixed to the upper transverse beam. Another aspect of the invention is the arrangement's unique assemblage.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2005Publication date: January 19, 2006Applicant: VOLVO LASTVAGNAR ABInventor: Jorgen ANDERSSON

Patent number: 6963854Abstract: A business process and computer system known as the “Target Pricing System” (TPS) that generates an optimum bid or value for a competitively bid good or service. The system is resident on one or more host processors in connection with one or more data stores, and includes a product model that defines list values for the bid using stored price data and costs the values using stored cost data, a competitor net price model that calculates an equivalent competitor net price for the value, and a market response model that calculates the probability of winning with the value as a function of price. The system further preferably includes an optimization model that computes the target price of an optimal value that maximizes expected contribution for the bid or value. The system alternately further includes a benefits model for calculating the benefits of using target pricing over a pre-existing approach, and strategic objects which each affect the target price.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2000Date of Patent: November 8, 2005Assignee: Manugistics, Inc.Inventors: Dean Boyd, Mike Gordon, Jorgen Andersson, Chia-Hung Charles Tai, Feng Yang, Anupama Kolamala, Greg Cook, Thomas Guardino, Mudita Purang, Prabhakar Krishnamurthy, Mark Cooke, Ravi Nandiwada, Brian Monteiro, Steve Haas

Publication number: 20030030210Abstract: A document delivery device comprises a carriage (2) which is movable along a path system comprising a first path (10) which extends between a document receiving station for the carriage and a document delivery station for the carriage, and a second path (20) which is connected to the first path and defines an end position (22) for dumping of documents from the carriage. On each side the carriage has wheels (42) which are received in and run in guide tracks (43) on opposite sides of the path. The device also comprises a document holder (3) which is carried by the carriage (2), and means (91, 92) for displacing the document holder (3) in relation to the carriage at the document delivery station. The carriage carries a magnet (70, 71), and the device comprises one or more hall-element(s) in the movement path for the magnet, for detection of the position of the magnet (70, 71) along the path.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 9, 2001Publication date: February 13, 2003Applicant: De La Rue Cash Systems ABInventors: Anders Nordin, Jorgen Andersson

Patent number: 6439564Abstract: An arrangement for feeding documents piecemeal from a document bundle (9) comprises a banknote separator (200) which includes two mutually biased rollers (4,6) that are driven by a drive motor (1) that also drives a dispensing roller (3) which functions to dispense documents from the bundle. The rollers (4,6) of the roll pair are rotationally coupled together via a freewheeling hub. The second roller (6) does not rotate during dispensing of a document. Upon completion of a dispensing operation, the drive direction of the motor (1) is reversed, so as to bring the second roller (6) to a new angular position.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2001Date of Patent: August 27, 2002Assignee: De la Rue Cash Systems ABInventors: Jorgen Andersson, Teru Horpu, Anders Nordin

Publication number: 20010022837Abstract: Open, horizontal service platforms are described. Service providers can, via network operators, load software associated with a service onto a dedicated, service platform server. The service platform server is connected, via a LAN, to one or more remote devices (e.g., sensors, transducers, processors, etc.). The functionality associated with the service can be distributed among two or more of the entities involved in the architecture. The distributed software operates and/or monitors these remote devices to implement the subscribed service.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 14, 2001Publication date: September 20, 2001Inventors: Jesper Vasell, Tom Idermark, Malte Lilliestrale, Hans Thorsen, Staffan Truve, Carlo Pompili, Johan Ljungberg, Jorgen Andersson
