Abstract: Embodiments include methods for identifying communications network performance management (PM) data that is explanatory of prediction target information. Such methods include obtaining a time series of PM data representing performance of the communication network at a plurality of periodic time instances over a first duration, and based on the time series of PM data, computing a plurality of models representing a corresponding plurality of statistical characteristics of the time series of PM data. Such methods also include computing projections of the models onto the time series of PM data, and based on the projections, selecting one or more of the models that are most explanatory of the prediction target information. Various examples of time series of PM data and target information are disclosed. Other embodiments include computing apparatus configured to perform such methods.

Abstract: A bogie for a rail-based vehicle, such as a train or tram. The bogie comprises one or more rail wheel arrangements, each having two rail wheels. The rail wheels are driven by a motor arrangement, comprising one or more electrical motors. The operation of the motor arrangement is controlled by alternating signals provided by an inverter arrangement formed in the bogie. The inverter arrangements converts a direct current (power supply) to one or more alternating currents, or one or more alternating current power supplies, for controlling the torque applied by the electrical motor(s) of the motor arrangement.

The system receives from a telecommunications network information indicating that a first subscriber has consumed a first content item through the telecommunications network, and adds an indication of the content consumption to a database. The system further receives information indicating that a second subscriber has consumed a second content item through the network, and adds an indication of the content consumption to the database. The system obtains a search result identifying a set of content items. It determines a first total number of subscribers who consumed the content item and a second total number of subscribers who consumed the content item and are determined to be similar to the requesting subscriber based on network-collected information. The system calculates a rank value for the content item using the first total number and the second total number.
