Abstract: The present invention provides a method of making modular floor tiles. The method includes adding a protective layer to a modular floor tile, which may provide surface protection, a high gloss finish, or other advantageous features. The protective layer may comprise a polymer sheet that is melded to a top surface of the modular floor tile.

Abstract: Modular floor tiles and modular floors are described herein. A modular floor tile may include a top surface layer, a plurality of edge surfaces, an interlocking mechanism for attachment to adjacent tiles, and a support system. The support system may additionally include a first rigid level and at least one resilient support member disposed under the top surface layer, the at least one resilient support member extending to a distance further from the top surface layer than the first rigid level. The at least one resilient support member may be compressible toward the top surface layer. A modular floor may include a plurality of interlocking tiles connected to one another. A method of forming a modular floor that includes an interlocking modular tile is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present specification describes sporting equipment methods and apparatus that may be used for ball play, and may be particularly useful for ball rebounding. One aspect of the novel sporting equipment described herein relates to the adjustability of a rebounder. Rebounders or rebound systems in accordance with principles of the present invention are strong, durable, and also adjustable. An adjustment mechanism in accordance with principles of the present invention may permit a user to change the angle of the rebound system to change the trajectory of rebounded balls to suit the needs of various players and situations. In contrast, conventional rebounders tend to be small, flimsy and are not adjustable.

Abstract: An improved support system for an injection molded floor tile is provided by vertically aligning the support system below the main floor panel with a surface structure above the main floor panel. The surface structure is at least one vertical structure or protuberance that rises above the top surface of the main floor panel. The support system maintains the structural integrity and rigidity necessary to support various loads on top of the floor tile.
