    Abstract: The present invention provides a polymer melt additive composition in the form of a powder for use as an additive in the melt processing of a host polymer, the polymer melt additive composition comprising particles of fibrillating polytetrafluoroethylene and an effective amount of a fluorothermoplast to prevent agglomeration of said particles of fibrillating polytetrafluoroethylene. It has been found that the polymer melt additive composition can improve the melt strength of a host polymer and is an easy to handle powder.
